Title: Sentence Me To Another Life
Fandom: Supernatural
Subject: S4/ 'Evil' Sam Fanmix
Warnings: there may be some cusses in the songs, so yeah x]
I did this for
spnland's fanmix contest. *g*
.zip+ back/front covers I chose this theme because to me, Sam’s decent into evil was completely unintentional. And as much as he didn’t want it to happen, he had no choice. Like a junkie needing a hit, he was at the will and demands of his body, he didn’t have control. The songs I chose follow Sam from Dean’s death up to Lucifer’s rising.
1-Unforgiven- it’s pretty much Sam’s theme to me. It goes from melancholy to gritty and at the end it’s like a culmination of everything that’s happened and finally ending somewhat reserved, just like Sam in S4.
2- Mad World- not much to be said about this. This is for Sam when he was without Dean and alone and confused about what he should do.
3- Falling Inside The Black- Also Sam without Dean, only this is the angry side; the side that got drunk and was pretty much suicidal.
4- Drilled A Wire Through My Cheek- Sam trying to control his newfound abilities and everything Ruby’s teaching him.
5- Just A Car Crash Away- this is my Ruby/Sam song, nothing more to say. *g*
6- Left 4 Dead- This is for once Dean found out just what Sam was doing and Sam was trying to show Dean that what he was doing wasn’t evil, but was the right thing to do; that he was still Sam and still in control.
7- Bar-Ba-Sol- Sam realizing that he needs more blood to become more powerful even though it’s going totally against Dean’s wishes and what the Angels want.
8- Coming Undone- Sam pretty much just losing it. He’s losing control over everything except the need for blood and more power.
9- Papercut- This song was chosen because when I first saw the episode The Rapture and Sam drains the demon right in front of Dean, I knew that Sam was completely gone, he just couldn’t stop anymore.
10- Lithium- This is for when Dean and Bobby locked him in the panic room. I wanna stay in love with my sorrow, but God I wanna let it go. He wants to continue getting stronger, but he wants to stop because he knows it’s tearing up his brother.
11- Adrenaline- Sam feels like he’s completely lost Dean and he’s not 100% sure of what he’s even doing anymore, he’s just running on adrenaline and what Ruby’s telling him to do.
12- Ignorance- Sam and Dean’s final fight. After everything that’s happened, it’s like they don’t even know each other anymore.
13- Fight Inside- As Sam is killing Lilith, doing what he thinks is right, he hears his brother’s voice and hesitates, he doesn’t know what to do as Ruby and Dean are yelling at him to do two different things.
14- Sing For Absolution- Sam knows he’s screwed up big time and his guilt and remorse is crushing him. He’ll do anything for Dean’s forgiveness and his absolution.
