Groove is in the heart
Today, everything is coming up Susan. With the sheer amount of doom and gloom posts of late, its a nice change!!
Firstly... It's sunny out. And warm for fall. Sunshine automatically brightens my mood. 90% of the time I'm convinced I have S.A.D. so sunshine = smiling. I even went out for a walk at lunch instead of staying inside and watching TV on my computer. :)
Secondly, Dr. X swung by my work today and surprised me with a tea and a cupcake from the Cupcake store. He knew I was tired b/c we were up late watching a movie last night and surprised me at work. It's hard to surprise me, I tend to pick up on things / overplan things so its a difficult task to surprise an anal details oriented person such as myself. But i was incredibly surprised to see him standing in front of my computer. :)
Thirdly, I had sushi for lunch. :)
Fourthly, I got a compliment on the way home from lunch. I walked by a group of boys and one of them shouted at me, "Hey, you're hot you know?" and then as I kept walking one of the other boys said "Why did you say that?" to the original boy. To which he replied, "Well, I just thought she should know." :)
And finally.... Mr. Rainbow apologized for being an asshole on the phone and not dealing with it in a very mature manner. I understood why he was upset, but not with how intensely he was feeling or how he treated me. I am willing to put it behind us and attempt to salvage a friendship out of this mess.
In summation...Today, is a good day.
