(no subject)
T-minus 3 hours. Just said good-bye to my dad (he's going to work rather than the airport with me). He was crying. Mom's been crying all day off and on. I've been pretty good about tears. Gotten sniffly a couple times, but have held it together.
I'm still excited, still really ready, still exceptionally happy, but it's a little bittersweet. Leaving is hard. I do love so many things about Florida and my people here and I'm going to miss them all very much. We had an amazing night last night. So quintessentially Florida. Good seafood with that Caribbean twist (ceviche & fish tacos), sitting outside under palm trees on the deck listening to live music, sangria (strawberry mint omg so good), some amazing friends, and then a late night walk on the beach. Was the perfect end really. <3~
Packing was interesting, mom kept making me nuts because so much is staying behind, "How is it that you've packed but it looks like nothing is missing??" *headdesk*
Flight is showing delayed- welcome to flying in/out of Florida in the summer. . . always a storm somewhere! So yeah, that's where I am now. Boarding passes all printed, just kind of getting last second stuff done. Throwing things into my carry-on.
