(no subject)
Am a little sad to see this weekend end. I was a good one- great balance between running about doing stuff and relaxation.
Spent it mostly with my family (normal these days). There was a really great art festival on Saturday. The weather was amazing and it was fantastic to just stroll and watch everything and everyone- reminds me of living in the city. We stopped for lunch at the Greek place we frequent where we ate outdoors (the restaurant is in the same place as the art fest) and there was a belly dancer and music and it was just perfect. Wish I had my camera! I took 2 shots with my phone though ^^ Ran around with the madre afterwards (Joann's and TJ's yay new undies!) Today was the JCC picnic where I made an appearance and then did some more running around before finishing watching season 1 of supernatural. Also hung out out back with Pittsy. We're teaching him to catch a Frisbee ^^;; And I'm working on making my legs less blindingly white *headdesk*
In other news I got my boots. I like them but am not in love with them (as of yet). I think they're better suited for pictures (and other activities *cough*) then for actual wearing to anywhere. They look best when lying around, sprawling, or sitting. Horizontal is the preferred position! This amuses me greatly ^^
Also got my necklace <3 ~ it, and have finally picked up the stretch lace to make hair fall thingies.
Oh! And I started on a new costume! It's been FOREVER since I've done any costuming, so of course the first thing I did was make the waist of the skirt I'm working on waaaaay too big *headdesk* Hurray for pins? I really need a short white petticoat though. If anyone here on the flist has one I could borrow I'd be forever grateful! (how'd you like my subtle subliminal signaling through bold type??) I'd rather not spend the monies on one right now. Oh, and mark this one down for the record books! The costume has tons of PINK in it (though I am in denial and am referring to it as magenta to lessen the blow).
