It's not nice to laugh at people when they're scared. It's not nice to tease me when I'm busy comforting GOD and an ANGEL and a bunch of other people who are freaking out. It's not FAIR to claim you want to protect me, and then treat me like this when I ask for your help.
Second: I'm sorry. When I think of protecting someone, it's from something that wants to hurt them, not hug them. Next time I promise I'll shoot first, laugh later.
Third: Please don't try to do everything. And by everything I mean comforting everyone. You'll burn out, then wind up feeling even worse because you won't be able to comfort anyone.
I'm a soldier, Rosie. Violence is what I do. It's my drilled in default.
*sighs* Okay, though. How's this: every time I start doing or saying something that makes you feel worse, I want you to hit me. It'll be just like that Pavlov's dog thing.
