My Kaanan question has been answered. He's on New Athos with the rest of the Athosians in the process of getting back to normal.
Chuck was still missing. I don't remember him wearing a red shirt last season. Hopefully he's still around and will be seen in later episodes. Atlantis needs Chuck just like Cheyenne Mountain needed Walter.
Yay: Woolsey has arrived. Back when the news of Torri being dumped made its appearance, my hope was to have Woolsey take over. I was definitely in the minority on that, at least from what I saw in posts but then I should base anything on posts since I belong to a few different Atlantis groups and read others but don't ever post myself. The bickering bothers me...we all have our own opinions and they should be respected. But I digress. Only one other person that I know of agreed with me and we talked about it, wished for it, until the word came down that it was Carter and not Woolsey. And I admit, Carter did not annoy me as the Atlantis leader. Was sure she would since it quite often happened on SG-1. Maybe because she wasn't always around. Shrugs.
Okay, back to Woolsey. Can't help but wonder why he arrived on the Daedalus instead of going through the gate. I mean, who was in charge of the military? Sheppard should have been recovering from his injuries. I suppose Lorne could have done it since he only had a broken leg. Rodney must have been in charge for those three weeks while they waited for Woolsey. So he would have been the one to tell Keller to work on getting Carson out of stasis.
Really, talking about Woolsey this time. He brought a mahogany table with him? Bet Caldwell loved that (and where was he by the way?). Woolsey, back to Woolsey. He's got everything organized; his questions ready. Less than a day on Atlantis and he's faced with a crisis. He's in over his head so he decides to trust his people. Even though that ends up breaking several rules. The IOA is going to overlook it THIS TIME. So I'm guessing he's going to start filing his reports without specific information from now on. That's it, Richard. Come on over to the dark side.
Awwww, Teyla being a mom. Didn't last long though. Can't help but wonder where the baby is the rest of the episode. Hmmm, Lorne's got a broken leg - I suppose he can move around well enough to give the baby a bottle and change a diaper. Except he ends up infected, too (yay for that being mentioned even though we didn't get to see him). So who gets the baby now? Chuck?
Carson, what the hell did that stasis chamber do to your hair? Yikes. Loved hearing Rodney would give Carson an update on the day's activities while our favorite medical doctor was frozen. Sigh - Keller didn't bug me in this episode. Was it because Carson had a big part? Probably, because she bugged me in Search & Rescue.
That brings me to two things I don't understand. First of all, cutting a thin strip of the Wraith stuff caused Keller to almost die but Shep ramming a jumper into it or Teyla shooting it when it began wrapping itself around Radek didn't? Secondly (and this should probably been the first thing), how come Atlantis didn't go into quarantine when this whole thing began?
