I'm going to WWE Raw live tonight in the Point Depot. I'm going to boo, cheer and insult the wrestlers.

Excellent.

Wrestling rocks.

You ain't seen nothin' until you've seen a drunken Charlotte standing on her seat shouting "RED PANTS RED PANTS" at the top of her lungs. Only wrestling can do that to a gal.

as pathetic as is can be sometimes (and it can be pathetic) I liken it to watching ameteur theatre, pantomime or a soap opera. It's all about the show. Theatrics, Pyrotechnics, athleticism, it's all designed to appeal to the base instincts of people. Boo the bad guys, cheer the good guys, watch people pretend to hurt each other. I love watching it, I used to watch it with my nephews, and they loved Saturday mornings watching it. I'd explain it realistically to them, show them how it's faked, and they would get a great kick out of being able to see the tricks as they were happening.

I may be trying to overcompensate for the obvious childishness of liking it, but I think it's great fun that can be enjoyed on other levels other than the one that it first suggests.

"watch people pretend to hurt each other"

Watch people deliberately cut themselves open with razors, fuck it up and require a dozen stitches...

I'll be doing a lot of booing as I watch guys fall down all over the place tonight, too. Porto are in the CL final.

At least everyone knows the wrestlers aren't actually getting injured :D

Porto deserve a major league gubbing, but we've had that discussion before :)

is ric flair still involved? the man's a genius, i remember a very drunken night in my house years ago, with about a dozen of us crowded into my front room cheering him on to win the royal rumble after being first into the ring - WOOOOOO

Flair is still very much Styling and Profiling. He's the only old geezer I don't mind seeing in the ring as much, simply because he can still take a bump.

Still has the greatest ring intro ever.

WHOOO!

nah, I'm in primo seats and will only end up blocking some kid sitting behind me.

I'll see if I can hit HHH with a smuggled can of beer if you want.

Naah, no beer tossing.

I'd love to see a picture of someone in the crowd with a Hyatte Rules sign/shirt *hinthinthint*
