The good life.
I HAVE A ROOMMATE! HOORAY! Her name is Madisen and she's from L.A. and we get along ridiculously well. Like, we met for the first time today and we're already finishing each other's sentences. YES! I'm so DAVIS excited... got to spend last Thursday and Friday there with Katia and Kimi and it was fabulous... Kimi invited me back up to go hang with her sorority girls, maybe go to a party with them, which could be really cool. I'm so ready to just be there - I just want to sign up for a class now, get my dorm, and GO! But at least now I have a roommate and we can start planning on who brings what and what colors we will decorate with.
In other news... need ball gown, need ball date. Thankfully, a date is not too difficult to find. Dress... need to get cracking on that one. EDIT: Scratch that. Bought a dress today, first store I walked in to. Piece of cake! END EDIT. Speaking of things I need to get cracking on - AP English! A little bird named Matt Hawkins informed me it's due by MAY 15TH! Which I did not know. I thought I had until June... oops. Definitely have not done anything all semester.
Getting $$$... working more hours at Starbucks, get another raise at the end of the school year. Got one $500 scholarship, doing my second interview for a $4000 next week... hey, anything helps. If I can get enough scholarship money and such so my parents never pay for books... or don't pay for study abroad... or me going to DC... that would be cool.
New discovery: pandora.com. Customizable radio - put in a song or artist and they'll build a radio station for you around it. You can choose whether you like what they play or not to help better your station. Totally free and it works on my Blackberry too - just need to carry my headphones now. Try it.
PS. STAR testing rules. So does no longer having 1st period physics with Barnett - now, 6th period with Hall. I will enjoy my last 8 weeks of high school (including this week). I will. And then I will enjoy college even more. HOORAY! Essentially, this post should establish that... life is good. And only gets better =)
