Definitely such a wonderful love letter to the fans. They said it before, but I was skeptical, but it truly was very respectful and treated the fans nicely.
You know I thought I was over my hatred of season 4, since it's been a while since it ended. I truly think of most of the episodes as horrible/forgettable, but reading this - Shitty writing, massive plotholes, a bunch of new characters when the time would have been better spent on exploring the characters we already had, a horrible lack of consistency, hardly any onscreen fall-out from the hellish events in S3 - kind of brought all my rage back, because it is so, so, so true! That they barely addressed Allison's death and there were no real lingering affects for Stiles after the possession was such BS. I loved (mean *flames on the side of my face*) that JD's excuse was "Oh, but it's a fun, silly fantasy show." If you want to write a fun, silly show don't kill off your female lead in a brutal fashion - newsflash, that's not fun! That Isaac disappeared with only a, literal, two word reference (not explanation, reference "Lahey's gone") with no mention of him again, was just inexcusable to me. The plot holes, the waste of space that was Liam, the lack of Scott/Stiles, the waste of time that was the benefactor storyline - ugh, just shoddy all around.

It reeeeeally was. Absolutely incredible. And I feel like a lot of us going in were just like, oh, god, this could be terrible; and then it ended up being wonderful, and, just - bless Robbie Thompson for writing that episode, seriously. ♥

Ugh, right? And I'm sorry this brought back the rage, but - yeah. It is so horribly true. Like, I dunno what Jeff Davis thinks he's writing, but it is definitely not just some funny silly fantasy show. It's full of extreme sadness and darkness and loss, and nobody ever gets the time to properly deal with any of that. Everyone in the Teen Wolf world should be so fucking traumatized by now, but the Teen Wolf PTB don't seem to get that. You have to give characters time to grieve and process.

A thousand times this. Absolute utter bullshit.
And poor Isaac, just vanishing like that. And where the fuck did Danny go, anyway? As for the entire benefactor storyline - ugggggh just no. -_-
So, yeah. I hear ya. And it's a shame, cause the Teen Wolf PTB have all the incredible characters and relationships and actors that they need to write an amazing show, but they just can't seem to make use of that properly. Instead we got the trainwreck that was S4. Gah.

Absolutely! I don't necessarily think they need to turn the show into a mourning hour for weeks on end, but the outcomes need to be dealt with head on.

Exaaaaaaactly.
It's like Merlin all over again.
OH GOD IT SO IS HOW DID I NEVER MAKE THAT CONNECTION agggggh. It really is, oh my god. Sigh. I'm so glad we have the fan-made parts of fandom to hide away in... I haven't actually gone nearly far enough down the Merlin fandom rabbithole yet, but some of the fic and art that the Teen Wolf fandom comes up with is just incredible. ♥
