waking up is hard to do

Something didn't feel right. My first step into waking up - and the first of my steps this week into understatement history, ironically - was met with much confusion. “Okay then, I’ll get to work on it this afternoon right away. In fact I’ll call my secretary and get her to gather the needed papers and stuff.” Good, finally something to do for her. And something that she seems to approve of. She’ll change her mind once she sees what good we’re doin’ here. Cause we are doin’ a lot of good, we’re just usin’ the recourses of what used to be evil.

Win some, loose some, but all I could see us do till now was winning. Big time.

“Yeah, I got a penthouse,” I grinned. “Wes too, right over here. Should be Angel’s but.. Yeah. Anyway, Wes don’t want it so if you wanted you could stay there too. Whatever you want. Or with me, or with Wes in his old place he can’t seem to let go.” That certainly got her attention don’t it? Penthouse, looks like there’s some of the old Cordy still in there. Material girl sneaking out.

“Oh! Something.. Yeah… There’s something in your closet. Wes asked Lorne to get you some, just in case,” I shrugged, “He and I would get it ourselves but….y’know,” I grinned at her, “you probably wouldn’t have approved.” Opening her closet I glanced at the clothes Lorne had bought her and shrugged. Looked like nothing special to me, I coulda gotten that for myself too.

“And what would you like to eat? My treat of course, cause I can afford it now,” I beamed at her.
