Several awesome things are happening.
1) Sis-in-law's due on Wednesday. She said if she hasn't had the baby by November 4th, they'll induce labor. She also said it would be funny if they had an entirely different reason to remember the fifth of November. But the point is - I'll be an aunt sometime in the next week. :D
And my Big Little Bro will be a dad. Weird!
2) Speaking of the fifth of November, construction of the cardboard model of the British Parliament building is underway. It will eventually measure about 3ft x 2.5ft x 2.5 ft high. It will also be awesome...or at least, very stable. I'll post some pics once I get more of the walls up. Gothic [revival] architecture's a bitch to render in cardboard, btw. I was also thinking of getting my hands on old telephone or cable cords and stripping them for copper wire, which I can thread through the walls to make it burn greeny-blue. If you have any to donate, let me know!
3) Halloween is on a Saturday. YAY! My costume will be a bit lame this year, but I don't have time to do anything more interesting. Oy vell.
4) NANOWRIMO STARTS NEXT SUNDAY! I'm going into the month this time fully intending to write an absolutely crap piece of work. On purpose. I figure this is the only mindset I haven't tried during my last five attempts, so maybe it will work.
