Summary: He likes her. He throws up on her. He's an idiot, but she kinda likes him too.
If he's honest--and he prefers not to be in this case--he'll admit that he misses Raj because he's a buffer. He may not have been physically present most of the time, but he was always there, keeping Evan from doing stupid like kissing Divya or something(minus that one time, though she did kiss him).
It may not have been so bad before, but now he's dating Paige(who he likes, but is never around), so he can't do that.
Eventually it occurs to him that he can't keep doing this, and right before he's about to break up with Paige, she ends things herself.
"I'm sorry, Evan. I just--there are so many things keeping us apart, maybe it's a sign."
Maybe it is.

"Evan--" Divya says his name cautiously, quietly. It's for the best, because if she'd been even a little louder, he may have thrown something at her. And really, with his hangover, it wasn't worth taking the risk--though he doubted she'd know that.
"Yeah?" he grunts, as much as you can grunt 'yeah' anyway.
"You're being pathetic," she says simply. "You need to, I don't know. Grow up a little, maybe."
"I am. That's why I'm drunk. They don't let children drink."
He sounds drunk. He is. Oh, wait. He's drunk, and he still has a hangover, and he thinks he's going to be sick very, very soon.
"Evan, sweetie--" the sweetie sticks in his head, and he doesn't get why she'd be nice to him.
"Divya, I'm sorry," he says simply.
"About what?" she presses a wet washcloth to his forehead and hands him a cup of something that burns his tongue and almost makes him throw up when he tries it. "It'll make you feel better, I promise."
"Why are you being nice?"
"Because I feel like it, you idiot."
"You're always so nice to me when I drink."
"I called you an idiot."
"I am an idiot, Divs. I just--I screwed up."
"Yeah, you did."
There's silence, because neither of them can handle the fact that Evan and Paige broke up.
They really can't help the fact that Evan has been getting drunk for the past two weeks, and he gets chatty.
So Divya kind of knows that Evan thinks he's in love with her. They're at a standstill.
It doesn't help that she's in love with him too.
