Mushroom Kingdom
When she saw her Uncle Luigi in the room when she opened her eyes, Buffy sighed in resignation. “How is this possible, Uncle Lou? Didn’t Mom have like a dozen guards watching her last night?” she asked.
“Princess Peach requested some fresh on her balcony without her guards. She told them that there were a hundred guards around the castle, so the odds of anyone getting close to her were miniscule,” Luigi explained with a bit of exasperation towards his stubborn sister-in-law.
“I swear, sometimes I think she wants to get kidnapped by Bowser,” Buffy complained, getting up to move to her bathroom and change.
Once she was ready, she joined her uncle in the throne room. “Since Dad is off rescuing some other damsel this week, I want us to split up into teams. Uncle Luigi, take your team to Castle 1, then to Castle 5; Toad, go to Castles 2 and 6, I’ll take Castles 3 & 7 and Yoshi, go to Castle 4, then back here - just in case Bowser brings Mom back here. Leave a squad of guards at each entrance to the castles after you clear them. Gear up with your weapons and potions, and please focus on getting Mom back, not on mindless destruction of the kingdom. Every brick you destroy is something we have to replace later,” Buffy reminded them.

Several hours later….
“Why did you put us through this again, Mom?” Buffy demanded after Princess Peach was rescued and brought back to the main castle.
Her mom pouted and replied, “You father keeps leaving to go on quests to rescue damsels in distress. I just wanted him to rescue me for a change.”
God! Her family was so dysfunctional!
“Okay, how about instead of putting everyone in the kingdom at risk, next time you tell Dad what’s going on and you can pretend to be kidnapped so he can save you?” Buffy suggested.
Meanwhile, she would lay a trap for Bowser that he wouldn’t escape from…hopefully.
