*wipes a tear* Good chapter. (Yeah, Anariel will definitely expect him back sooner rather than later.)

Oh, and extra special props for this line, because practically everybody in Jackson's movieverse totally failed at such a commonsense notion:

> When they set up their camp that night, they made sure to choose a site that will hide their modest campfires from the eyes of their oncoming enemies, who would march through the night.

Thank you!

The Jackson movieverse was sorely lacking in basic precautions I can't imagine Buffy ignoring. (The first time I saw Fellowship I was mentally yelling at the other 3 hobbits even before Frodo did. "Oh, sure, why not light a fire that will be seen for miles around when you know you have Nazgul chasing you? You might as well hang a neon sign! Did you think about that for even a second?")

Anariel may expect him back sooner rather than later, but certain Valar see an opportunity and have some conditions in mind. I am not at all frustrated that work is keeping me so busy I haven't had time to work on Arwen's death/what happened next/Anariel's arrival in Aman... If I'm lucky, I may get some of Tindomiel's forays into Mandos written.
