2015 August Fic-A-Day Challenge - Rules Post

The Rules:1. Write one fic per day during August. Stories must be complete and stand alone and they should be BtVS/Angel Crossovers of any rating with any fandom, minimum 300 words, maximum3000 words

I can't believe it's almost that time again. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun (or just so busy you keep losing track of what day it is. It's been one or the other for a while now...)

Thank you in advance to the mods and our fabulous volunteer - Fic A Day does not run itself, and I know you put effort into it above and beyond what those of us just writing do. (Welcome, acswatwst!)

Is it within the rules to go back in and edit the fic? I wrote my first entry with the intention of it being a 300 word fic. It kind of got away from me and I finished quite late and didn't proof it as much as I should have (I was beyond tired when I finished) and I just proof it before posting it to post to tth.

It's usually safest to wait until after it's been approved. Once that has happened you are more than welcome to make any adjustments you deem necessary.

Is it okay to use a story I wrote a while ago but never posted anywhere?

Certainly. Just so long as it's new, between 300-3000 words and a crossover between BtVS/AtS and another fandom you are more than welcome to post it.

Disclaimers for a surprise fandom

If I don't want to ruin a surprise fandom, should I put the disclaimer behind a spoiler cut, or mark in that section it will be at the bottom of the fic?

We've never had a surprise fandom short before so I will say use your best judgement. I think either option would be sufficient.
