Title: Day 27 - Captured
Author: acswatwst
Rating: FR-13
Crossover: BtVS / Ghost Busters (1975)/ Secrets of Isis / Stargate / Dr. Who
Word Count: 884
Disclaimer: This is a derivative work. All BtVS characters and concepts belong to Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, Fox Television, and others. Funimation/NBCUniversal owns the original (1975) Ghost Busters and Secrets of Isis. Stargate is owned by some media conglomerate, which is not me. All things Dr. Who are owned by the BBC.

Note: Not as long as I planned. Had a hard time getting this started. But hopefully things will get wrapped up in the next 4 installments after this. Most of the fandom crosses are minor here.

Summary: A new player joins the field. Her name may be revealed eventually.

There was a large hole in the ground, bordered on the left and right by two buildings, and the back by a service road. The police had put up a barricade to keep anyone from falling  in, and had a single policeman keeping an eye on it.

"It's just gone," Rennie said, staring at the empty hole. "Where are Miss Thomas and Joyce?" Mr. Mason had just rejoined her, after dealing with the police and, not having keys,  arranging for Andreas car to be towed back to her apartment.

"I don't know," Mr. Mason said. "They've turned off the power and water, and there's no rubble. It's almost s if someone just pulled it out of the ground and carried it away."

"Who's going to call Joyce's parents? Or her uncle?" Rennie said anxiously. "Where do we get their phone number?"

"I'll call her uncle. He should be the easiest to find. He can contact her parents," Mr. Mason said. "There's nothing more we can do here today, let me give you a ride home."

"My car is at the school," Rennie said. "And I need to get something from the lab."

"The lab it is then," he said. "But no sneaking back here."

"I would never do that, Mr. Mason," Rennie said, giving him an innocent look.

"Let's keep it that way," he said, getting into his car. Rennie nodded, and got it.

----

"Well, well, isn't this a surprise," an unfamiliar female voice said, breaking through the fog in her head.

Feeling stiff and sore, Joyce cautiously sat up and opened her eyes. She was in a bare, large white room. Leaning against one wall across from her was a woman dressed in a black, antique looking dress. Ignoring the woman, she searched for Andrea, finding her lying on her back against the wall in between.

Slowly standing, using the wall for leverage, Joyce. tried to get to Andrea to check her out but something prevented her moving more than a foot away from the wall.

"You aren't going anywhere," the woman said, smirking. "Rather clever containment unit, though I would have set it to shock at any attempts to leave."

"Who are you?" Joyce said, gingerly sitting back down.

"You don't recognize me? After all I've done for you?" the woman said. "I am deeply offended."

"Never seen you before in my life," Joyce said.

"Interesting," the woman said. "You're older than the last time I saw you Pet, though you rarely use that disguise. Someone must have been playing with a memory transducer. Naughty, naughty." She wagged a finger at Joyce like she was a naughty child.

"I'm not a pet," Joyce said, glaring at her. "Who are you?"

"You Furlings always get so offended," the woman said. "Must be the ears?"

There was a grown from the other occupant of the room. Andrea rolled over and pushed herself into a sitting position. Looking around, she frowned at the other woman, before spotting Joyce. Shaking her head, she leaned back against the wall.

"Didn't I tell you to stay in the car?" she said. "Where's Rennie?"

"You were taking too long," Joyce said. "And Rennie went to call Mr. Mason. Who's she?" Joyce pointed at the other woman.

"We haven't been introduced," Andrea said. "But she apparently found my detector inadequate and was tinkering with it."

"It was basically useless," the woman said. "Its ability to detect artron energy was severely limited. You could be swimming in it and it wouldn't notice."

"Artron energy?" Andrea said. "Does it have another name?"

"It doesn't need another name," the woman said. "And your pet is dripping with it, how could you not notice?"

"I'm not a pet," Joyce said, grumbling.

"I really need to look into pet ownership rules," the woman said. "Romana wouldn't let me have you before, and I suspect your new owner feels the same way. It's not fair. I've been really good. Haven't destroyed any civilizations in weeks." The woman pouted.

"Where are we?" Andrea said.

"Apparently, there was a booby-trap, triggered by large amounts of artron energy," the woman said. "Which you would have known if your primitive device had been properly calibrated."

"That doesn't answer my question," Andrea said.

"She doesn't like answering questions," Joyce said. "She still hasn't told me her name."

Sighing, the woman stood up straight. "Names are irrelevant, Pet," she said. "Knowing my name won't save you. What you need to worry about is them."

Two large creatures, wrapped up like mummies, shuffled into the room.

"Bring them," a voice said, filling the room. "They will explain their interference."

One of the creatures grabbed the woman, and started dragging her out of the room. "Careful! I just had this pressed," she said.

The other creature grabbed Joyce with one hand, and Andrea with the other. It then followed the other creature out of the room.

"Isis?" Joyce said, in a low voice, trying to walk without stumbling and catch Andrea's eye at the same time.

"Not yet," Andrea said. "We need to find out what is going on first."

"Think it's one of those Goa'uld Lis'an mentioned?" Joyce said.

"Goa'uld?" the woman hissed from in front of them. "You've been annoying Goa'uld? Again? I changed my mind. I don't want a pet."
