Summary: Cassie and Jack meet the whole team who might be thier security.
Timeline/Setting: Couple years after Chosen and within a couple weeks after Jack moves to Washington DC after being promoted. same univers and same week as the first two fics of mine this month/year.
Author's notes(if any): nope. It’s fanfic…. Cue hand waving for ages and dates of characters., and lining up timeline of the tv shows.
"Where are we going?"
"Didn't you just ask that?" Riley asked watching the stoplight.
"That was Toby."
"No I asked how much longer."
"Are you sure they didn't get hit with some deaging mojo?"
Sam giggled looking at the map hearing her husband grumble at the twins in the back seat. "In two blocks turn left."
"Should I give the we need to give him a good impression speach again?"
"You gave it over breakfast and again at lunch. Give it again and someone will call you Buffy." Sam pointed out looking at the street signs.
"That hurts. I think we're here."
Jack watched two SUVs park in his driveway. Six people in one car and four in the car driven by Finn. "I thought there are nine on your team?"
"They put us together again?" Jack heard one man say as he followed a step behind Finn.
"Barthoulmous and Tobias. Twins and it wouldn't be the first time paperwork has them as Toby Barthlomew. Everyone, this is Jack."
"Hi everyone. We're out back first then in the house later." Hands in his pockets, Jack ambled around the side of the house with Finn's team following beind with lawn chairs and two large coolers.
"What do you think Cassie?"
Slowly twisting the fork holding a marshmallow over grey crusted red glowing embers Cassie looked at the group of ten people in their back yard. One broken arm, someone limping with a knee brace, a juggling show, belching contest, and someone was always keeping watch. Somehow they were able to trade whose turn it was to watch out and everyone else could play with out talking. "Yes. They have so many secrets but they're good people. I'm getting a feeling like Uncle T from someone, like a standard with a bonus."
Standing up to invite everyone into the house Jack hear a lot of cell phones go off. The team relaxed reading their phones.
"We got to town two weeks ago and are staying at a house owned by a good friends company. They were telling us they were in town and going to be staying at the house also." Finn (Lady Finn Toby yelled when she was introduced) stuck her cell phone between her arm and the heavily padded sling holding it still.
"Do ya have any information on good local donut places? They indicated research trip and they would enjoy having info for good donuts." Miller asked pulling a note pad out of a backpack someone had brought.
"Inside I might. I like thier prioritys!"
