January 10th...
Nothing much goin on...just thought I'd write something. Started Winter quarter last week. It looks like my classes will be decent. Biology will blow, becuase the professor is very slow and boring. Ceramics will be fun, as will Photography, I'm also in a Film Class, watch and critique films. Also at the end of the quarter we have to make a film. Yikes, I hope it's more fun and dumb.
For the first assignment in Photography we had to get a disposable camera and find letters, the alphabet, where you wouldn't normally think of them as letters. For example someone had taken picture of a bike rack and it looked like an 'S'. I found probably 2/3 of the alphabet and thought that I had some decent pictures. Turns out, only seven were light enough to develope. Quite ashamed to bring really dark images to class. We were told not to use the flash, but it turns out like everyone else in the class besides me did. Oh well.
We have to do the same assignment again, but this time we get to use real cameras. Eli let me borrow his, and I got a few comments on how nice it is...Thanks Eli.
Other than that not much going on. I planned on getting a job this quarter, but I dont know. Both photography and Ceramics will require lots of time. People think that art classes are easy, But they aren't. However they probably are more fun. They require lots of out of class time, and it's really hard to whip something together at the end that is high quality.
