[Bibou no Detail] pamphlet questions

Feb 10, 2010 19:04

First of all, THERE IS A GOD AND HE MADE MOVIE STAFF PUT OUT SOME LOVELY, LOVELY PICTURES FOR PHOTOSETS FOR THE MOVIE.

("First of all" corollary: thanks to tokyo_heathen, THE PHOTOSETS AND PAMPHLET ARE IN MY HANDS.)

Secondly.

And this one had my heart stopping.

So okay, I sent in about a zillion questions (okay, I lie, just five for Mao and Daisuke, three for Takiguchi, two for Babaryo, and one each for Bishin and Mio) when they'd opened it on the website. Under various names.

And.

And and and.

OHMYGOD ONE OF THEM MADE IT. Sadly, it was not one of those under the name "フィリピンのジニー" ("Ginnie from the Philippines", my favorite penname to use when commenting in Japanese actors' blogs).

But OHMYGOD. (I'll leave you to guess which one it was.)

Okay, I'm still trying to make sense of that answer and wondering if I actually translated it right, but... But but but. OHMYGOD WATANABE DAISUKE ANSWERED MY QUESTION.

Quick non-translation of the questions for everyone:

MAO
Q: How did you feel when you got cast as Takumi? And what do you think of or feel about him?
A: I was happy. And surprised. How I see Takumi... Frankly, he's an honestly pure boy! (I kid you not, that's what's written. ピュアボーイ. I LOL'd.)
Q: Who among the Takumi-kun Series characters other than Takumi would you like to play? (The one who asked this is supposedly 5-y.o. I AM WORRIED.)
A: I 've never thought of anyone other than Takumi!

DAISUKE
Q: You're playing the role of Gii for the second consecutive time, what do you think is the most attractive thing about Takumi?? Please tell us the reason why Prince Gii is so crazy about the Takumi who dislikes being with other people, and with whom Gii took such a high risk.
A: The most attractive thing about Takumi... His clear and pure heart, he makes people happy... He doesn't really have an aura that attracts people to him, huh? That kind of Takumi, Gii being so fascinated by him, it's understandable even without saying, right?
Q: Which are the scenes you found interesting while doing them??
A: Of course, all of the scenes!! Ah, but if I really had to pick... Hm~ Yeah... In [Niji-iro no Garasu], the scene where everyone is happily talking!! For [Bibou no Detail], the scene in which I was running around looking for Takumi... (i.e. the one where he runs around like a madman. Or, as tokyo_heathen put it, running like a spazzfreak :Db) But more than just saying this was an interesting scene, it was a scene that had a lot of deep thinking.

TAKIGUCHI
Q: This is your third time in this role, how did you play it?
A: I'm always thinking, and this time it's about where I fit into Gii and Takumi's relationship. For Takumi, in particular, though I'm a good friend, I say harsh things to him... It's different from all other times so it's fun to play it.
Q: From your point of view, what kind of person do you think Akaike really is?
A: In one word, "otokomae" (e.g. Saeki -- pretty boy ^_^). Someone who doesn't mince words, and has a sense of responsibility, and truly cares about his friends.

BABARYO
Q: What did you think of your first movie? What was the most difficult thing about it?
A: (OHMYGOD THAT IS ONE LONG SENTENCE AIDSUFHAISUDHFASDF.) This was the first time I was in a movie as a main cast member so I was really, really nervous, but the sempai Dai-chan and Mao-kun, and Takki, they created this easy atmosphere, so I was immediately able to be familiar with them ☆ The hardest thing, it was playing the person called "Misu Arata"... (T_T) Even as it's difficult to grasp his personality, he's a charming person so with much anxiety I really struggled to be right for it... m(_ _)m
Q: In the original work, there's a story that's centered on Misu and Shingyouji. If that was made into a movie, would you like to come back as Misu? (asiudhfdshfaisuhdfau I ASKED THIS EXACT SAME QUESTION.)
A: I'm really fascinated by Misu Arata's character, so if there's a demand for it, I definitely want to do it. And I think it'd be great if I could show more and more of the depth of Misu Arata's charm!! (THAT'S IT, WE REALLY NEED A MOVIE OUT OF [PURE].)

BISHIN
Q: This being your first movie, how did you feel when it was decided you would be in the third Takumi-kun Series movie?
A: Even though I was a bit averse to the idea at first, it was an opportunity to be in a movie so the happiness was greater.
Q: In the original work, there is someone whom Shingyouji sees as "a prince from a fairytale". Please tell us in what situation would you personally think "This is princelike!"
A: For me, there are a lot of times when I've been told that I'm a gentleman (laughs) Ladies first, maybe? That's princelike!

MIO
Q: Mio-kun, you were also in [Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite], so this is your second time with Takumi-kun Series. What did you find difficult this time? Please tell us about situations where you had to be ingenius or had trouble!
A: The difficulties this time... That said, compared to last time, this was difficult... But it's for this reason that I was able to have fun during filming. Ingenuity and troubles... Expressing Toshihisa's honest personality, maybe?
Q: How did you, everyone in the cast, spend the intervals between filming?
A: Basically we talked, read the scripts together, etc.

YASUKA
Q: You changed your hair, changed the character you're playing, what did you think about it?
A: It was a change from the self-centered Takabayashi of the first film, so quite frankly when looking at it from an outsider point of view, I had to really make it look like totally different people.
Q: It's been a while since you did Takumi-kun Series, what did you think of getting to work with the new cast?
A: The Takumi-kun cast has gotten bigger, huh~ (laughs) That's really what I thought, but there are also people I haven't seen in a while so it was really fun ☆彡

There are also a couple of questions that were asked of everyone.

Who do you think looked best in the uniform?
Mao: Of course, it's Watanabe Daisuke-san (laughs)
Daisuke: No mistake, it's the two who are still high school students (Mao, Bishin), right... (^-^;)
Takiguchi: Dai-chan. Even though he's more of a niisan than I am (I suppose he means to say that Daisuke's older), it fits him nicely to a tee. I feel that maybe even in clothes that aren't his usual civilian clothes, he'd suit them.
Babaryo: Me!! I lie... (laughs) (^_^;) Well, it's got to be the one who's most experienced, Takki, right!? Takki will wear that blazer and carry it with dignity (laughs)
Bishin: Of course it's my kareshi! Ah! Baba Ryouma-san! (... PUPPY-CHAN, I SHIP YOU WITH HIM, OKAY. I'M SORRY, TAITO.)
Mio: Hamao-kun (Takumi) → the times when I saw him up close, the way he looked in the school uniform left a deep impression on me. (... Someone seems to be channeling his character here.........)
Yasuka: Hamao-kun. (Wow, Yasuka. Nice and straightforward answer, no questions asked, no explanations given.)

If you were told that in this movie, you could play the character you like, who would you like to be?
Mao: Hayama Takumi!!
Daisuke: I've also thought of playing someone else, but... In the end, for me... I can't think of anyone but Gii!!
Takiguchi: I'm okay with being Akaike! No! Akaike is fine with me! (I get this mental image of him going "No no no no NO, you can't take the role of Akaike away from me!! NOOOOOO!!" and whining like a petulant kid.)
Babaryo: Of course, I want to play Misu Arata with all my heart!! Then, I've also thought that I'd want to play a character like Shingyouji Kanemitsu, who endears others to him (o・v・o)
Bishin: Hm~ I'd like to try being Gii!
Mio: Misu Arata → I haven't played a cool role, so it would be a challenge for me...
Yasuka: Takumi, with Dai-chan staying in the role of Gii (laughs) ('kay, Yasuka, am officially disturbed not just by your teeth but by your brain as well. XD STICK TO KEISUKE.)
