[FANGIRL ENCOUNTERS] K-Pop Meets P-Pop: Kim Hyun Joong edition

Oct 26, 2010 20:28

One of the things that really surprised me about this concert was the amount of noona fans and I do mean those of the mother-variety. There was this mother and daughter pair that was almost behind me in line and the mom was the one wearing the Triple S shirt. I was too shy to ask for a photo of them but that seriously amused me.

There were a lot of older fans in the Green Triple S shirts they had (which I assume are from a local fanclub) and it's amusing and scary to think that I may be like that still in the future. haha Also, these noona fangirls took up most of the front row of the concert.

I kind of feel bad for them that Hyun Joong didn't sing as many songs as he should have. You could consider him the "main act" of this concert but he just spent most of his time with that deer-caught-in-headlight look while being "interviewed". The interpreter kind of blew our minds away. I was going through severe second-hand embarrassment when she was translating.

I already mentioned this in my B2ST entry for this concert but KHJ did sing a total of three songs namely: Happiness (from the BOF soundtrack), Please Be Nice To Me, and Thank You. You could count the Heal The World performance but his backup dancers were more into it than he was. :P

The crowd kind of lost it when KHJ came out for Happiness. I secretly hoped he would sing Because I'm Stupid but that didn't happen so that broke my heart already. LOLJK

And boy is Hyun Joong pretty, we were even lamenting how he's even prettier than we are.

After this song, they completely launched into the first interview segment and that felt long already. And yes here's the start of the "perpetually surprised" look. I did find his attempt at Filipino cute.

I can't remember and hear what he said after saying in a clumsy way Kamusta po kayo (How are you?). And yes I do believe my seatmate AM was the one who screamed Pakasalan mo ko! (Please marry me!). XD I'll leave you to watch two parts of the interview.

Sorry for the random spazz about mentioning Asia Tour... this was as you remember before the whole changing companies etc. :| And yes KHJ just said the standard Maraming salamat po! Mahal ko kayo! (Thank you very much! I love you all!)

And seriously, the translator made our ears bleed.

We were kinda hoping for Rainism but this was smooth nonetheless. And yes taking off jackets or almost taking them off never fails to be hot. haha But damn those pyrotechnics for obstructing the view. >.<

Launching into another ballad, KHJ held the attention of the fangirls in the coliseum. The man is a cutie, I really have to give him that.

The concert ended with a rendition of all the acts singing Heal The World. There were tons of cuteness going on in this performance. You better keep a close watch at B2ST because they were certainly toying with fangirls hearts by being so, so adorable.

Sorry for the screaming, I'm not quite sure who was screaming anymore. But I do have an inkling that the really manic screaming was from the crazed fangirl beside me I mentioned before.

As I just said, KHJ's back up dancers were more into it than him. haha And yes, that's Junhyung carrying a kid. He's cool for doing that.

And with this song, the concert ended. This has been the last K-POP event I've been to this year. I didn't get to go to Jay Park, Rain, and One Way fanmeets/concerts/mall tour. Right now I'm still in the middle of saving up for Super Show 3 and the rumors of Hangeng coming almost after SS3 is making me feel just a little bit frustrated. Oh well, let's see what happens next and who's going to come next.

Something very cool is happening very soon so you, my dear friends, better stalk FANGIRL DIARIES soon. Or better yet stalk now since Arriane is awesome and she runs a cool site. :) Check out WANDERRGIRL too for her escapades around Seoul last week.
