I'm not a fan of P-Pop. There I said it. So that was the first reason why I didn't want to go to this concert.
I mentioned being "conflicted" before but I think that's an understatement. I was making a pros and cons list, asking anyone who was considering on going (I was originally set to go to this alone), and guilt-tripping because my finances weren't exactly great.
But...
Apparently my self-control still sucks when it comes to my fandoms and I knew a few fangirls who were going so I found myself purchasing a ticket. (If I really didn't have anyone to go with, I would've probably forfeited going.)
I really wanted to see B2ST (Beast), even more than Hyun Joong actually.(Don't get me wrong I like sunbae but sometimes he's not my cup of tea.) That they were the biggest reason as to why I was even majorly considering to go in the first place. In the end, I am happy to say that they did not disappoint.
The Cube boys sang a total of six songs Special, Bad Girl, Easy, Mystery, Oasis, Shock, and 아직은 (Yet), while Hyun Joong sang a total of three (and talked for half of his time on stage... I mean he was interviewed. It's a cop out I tell you). He wasn't "allowed" or rather he wasn't going to sing SS501 songs (I think that was a sign already :|) so he sang his own songs.
I was seated in the Upper A area at Araneta and this would've been a pretty awesome spot if only the stage wasn't so tiny. Okay I maybe asking too much since Super Junior's Super Show 2 kind of brought the stage to the audience and it was ridiculously humongous.
Anyway, the stage was just a typical concert stage with the whole court area had seats for those who paid for Patron tickets. Sadly, the boys weren't allowed to go down into the audience (out of fear of fangirls I think haha).
The concert was supposed to start at around eight but by the time they were letting people in around 7 or 7:30-ish the coliseum wasn't as full as I wanted it to be (promotions kinda failed for this event). I know I shouldn't compare this with the Suju experience especially since Super Junior has been in the business way longer than B2ST--oh and apparently KHJ isn't that much of a pull either--but when they started letting people in for Super Show the place filled up fast. As for this concert, it started late and in our area there were a lot of empty seats. It was kind of a let down. I wish they chose a smaller venue but maybe the Korean companies didn't want to agree to that.
It is especially frustrating since this was a charity concert. The proceeds (I don't know how much) is going to this home for unwed young mothers. I give props to these boys for participating. There's no use saying that they should've started promotions earlier or whatever, it just had to happen that way I guess.
For this benefit concert, there were two other acts aside from B2ST and Hyun Joong, the local counterparts were the two P-Pop groups XLR8 (pronounced as "accelerate") and Pop Girls. I forgot who performed after the Pop Girls (it was either XLR8 or KHJ) but the show started off with B2ST and then the female Arashi er I mean Pop Girls. :P
Need I say more? hahaha
I think it was "Jun" or "Sho" or both of them that were dancing strangely or giving it their all. My seatmate and newfound fandom friend AM was cracking up almost the entire time. It's kinda rude I admit but we could not unsee it!
Anyway, let's go back to B2ST. As I mentioned, they performed six awesome songs. I'm a big fan of their music and like most of their songs so hearing them perform most of them is just so amazing.
The boys in the gorgeous red suits they wore during Dream Con 2010 emerged from behind the screen to the uproar of the crowd to perform Special. By the way, I'm going to warn you about these fancams. Yes we were that loud and OMG is apparently all I can say in front of idols.

And yes you did see some DooSeob action before the dance break and I swear my mind went to the gutter when AJ did that "crotch move" of his. teehee
I was all sorts of excited (as you can tell) when they decided to perform Easy song. AM and I lost it when Hyunseung started doing that little dance of his. And during that brief camera shake, I was spazzing because Hyunseung was singing in our direction. haha

Again I have to say that I love B2ST for both their ballads and their fast songs. They just have such awesome stuff.
Next is the song that really got me addicted to B2ST. Do not tell me you don't do that head gesture thing when you see them perform this song.

"Yan" means finally because it actually took them long enough to project the boys on the screen behind (which they took away from us again DD:). By the way I have to say the really high-pitched screaming to the left is coming from this manic fangirl who suddenly sat beside us (remember this was a pretty empty area and we were at the front row in our area).
But when AJ took off his coat well... we all lost it.
This concert gave birth to what we call the "croonas" or creeper noonas a.k.a. us.
Then they came out for Oasis for what I believe is the encore performance already and my night was made. Silly boys throwing flowers to the crowd (yes I am jealous) and yes that girl beside me screamed like that for majority of the time. Say hi to AJ's arms by the way.

At one point I did say 'Oh God my heart' (Ay Diyos ko ang puso ko) and Hyunseung and AJ decided to do that little dance battle thing. OMG. OMG. OMG. *still spazzing*
Shock. OMFG. It's Shock! Epic song is soooo epic! I really do love Doojoon and Dongwoon's step at the beginning. Hyunseung's and AJ's part also during the first part. And Yoseob sang magnificently throughout their set. You get to see more of Junhyung's bad assery in this part. And oh yes I love it when Doojoon pops out from the back to sing his part.

I was waiting for them to come out and do Please Take Care Of My Girlfriend instead we got Gikwang's butt dance er I mean 아직은 (Yet). Made me kinda of sad that this was the last song from B2ST because I honestly wanted to see more. These boys better come back for a full-fledged concert and yes I want better seats!

This has turned into one gigantic post so I've decided to place Hyun Joong's part in another entry. There's also the short interview with B2ST
HERE in my Youtube channel. There really isn't much to it but if you'd like to see them then just had there. :)

From one large fangirl gathering to another, last night in a penthouse function room with over 100 fangirls we celebrated Matsujun's birthday and Arashi's 11th year.
Kinda insane but so much fun! Finally got to meet our local Arashi fangirl celeb extraordinaire (haha)
dvampyrlestat and did not know that my dear, dear ate
waku_waku was going to be there! Met Chrisseth finally and got introduced to Cat (a.k.a.
lianne29)!
There was this cute cute little boy there (a literal fanboy!) who was an Aiba fan since he was wearing an Aiba shirt. He was four or something. A really young one. Chooo kawaii!
And by the powers of positive thinking I brought
THIS home from the raffle. It's going up my wall but I haven't gotten to putting it yet.
