first day of classes
While I'm waiting to get in the shower I figured I'd do a little posting action. I have to tell everyone about Sunday. Haha- sorry for the late post. Soooooo I didn't end up going down to the East Village because Lucia informed me that it was Chinese New Year, and I have always wanted to see those dragons in real life (not just on TV). So despite the rain, Lucia and I headed down to Chinatown for all the parades and celebrations. It was awesome. We saw so much stuff and of course the infamous dancing dragons. I took some pics (I'll put the link in next post). After walking around through confetti filled streets we decided to eat some chinese. Now for all who dont know (because I didnt) the chinese food that I've eaten from like "good friends" chinese back home is simply a fast food restaurant and in not actually REAL chinese food. So we went to a REAL chinese restaurant where the only drink you can have is the tea in these little white cups without handles on them and you have to eat with chopsticks (very very fun). I was sooo paranoid I wasnt going to be able to eat my food but I ended up being a chopstick eating pro. Hahaha.... The only bad part of the whole ordeal was some stupid confetti landed on my rainboot and amazingly enough the ink STAINED my rubber boot and it looks a lil ridiculous on the toe. Any ideas how to get it off- please let me know!!!
