BRRAAAINS!!! Zombie prompts now open!
So, zombi_fic_ation's Zombie Fest is currently in the Prompt Claiming week of its festivities (open for claims until May 5th). If you are in search of inspiration for oh-so-many fandoms, then I suggest giving it a looksey HERE. I've already claimed two prompts. Every fest I tell myself to only claim one *sigh* but I have impulse control issues :) Here are the two I've claimed and hope to have finished on time:
217. Supernatural -- Dean/Cas, Sam, Jody (Sam/Jody if you like), any others -- It's 2014. Lucifer isn't a threat anymore, but that doesn't mean that future that Dean saw in The End won't come to pass.
229. Teen Wolf (TV) -- Sheriff Stilinski, Stiles, Scott, Derek, Allison, Lydia, Melissa, any others -- Walking Dead AU. After getting shot on duty, Sheriff Stilinski wakes up in the abandoned hospital surrounded by the dead. When he learns what happened, he goes on a quest to find his son. Stiles is alive; he knows it.
I've never written any Dean/Cas, so we shall see if that goes okay if it just comes across as strong friendship. And I couldn't resist that Teen Wolf prompt for a number of reasons, one of which being that I have a weakness for our dear Sheriff Stilinski. Thank goodness these fics aren't due until well into June because I have much catching up to do on my Mix Bang fic.
It occurs to me that I've written a few zombie fics over the years, many of them thanks to zombi-fic-ation or prompts from LJ friends. Six fics, actually, and somehow none of them involve The Walking Dead...Huh. Apparently the flesh-eating dead just inspire me. Past tales >>>
" Blue" - Angel, the series. ~1400wds. AU after season 5's "A Hole In the World." They saved Fred, but at what cost.
" Not With a Whimper" - Supernatural. ~5k. Meg/Cas. AU Post S8 zombie apocalypse. The sky fell. Then the world fell. The ones left behind were too busy to ask why, but he knew. He knew they all fell because of him. And they all rose again because of him, too.
Home is Where the Thriller Rejects Are - Teen Wolf/Buffy - The dead rising in California would be business as usual for Dawn and Willow if it weren't for White Witch numero uno's magic going wonky and landing them on a baby hellmouth overpopulated by werewolves. Oh, and more zombies, of course.
Hell's Belles - Supernatural/Vampire Diaries. - New Orleans, Mardi Gras. Elena and the Salvatores are looking to spend some time away from Mystic Falls. Meanwhile, the Winchesters are looking for sightings of the walking dead. Both groups crash the same elegant costume party, so it should really be no surprise when the mansion ends up surrounded by a horde of flesh eating zombies. Season 5 Supernatural; Season 1 Vampire Diaries. ~16k
