Name: Yuu Kanda
Age: 17
Gender: Intersexed, raised male.
Status: Deceased (Murdered.)

Children are supposed to be precious and pure. Innocent and without even a hint of stain on their souls. Perfect, little lambs. And so, only a child could be pure enough to birth god. God, who had been dead for so long now. Perfect god, who would lead them all to a purer world. A land without sin, full of happiness and safety.

Through the body of the town's most pious children god would rise again.

So they gathered the beautiful ones, the good boys and girls who's parents were loyal and good to the church. The supporter's children, the most lovely and obedient of them. The parents smiled as they handed their little darlings to the leaders of the Order, more than willing to sacrifice for paradise. The children held hands, and skipped down the hallway of the church to their ends.

They didn't realize how it would ache, or how their tiny bodies would be ruined and torn apart.

Little Yuu was a pretty thing, with a sweet feminine face and a nasty home life. His mother had given birth to him at home, and had never taken him to the hospital afterward. She couldn't let anyone know, or see what a freakish thing she had birthed. Little boys were supposed to be little boys. And nothing more than that. Little girls were supposed to be little girls. A child that was both wasn't human. Or something that she could love.

So when she had the chance to hand it over to the Order, she did so smiling happily. She was free of the monster, and she supposed that it should be happy. It wasn't going to be yelled at, or hit anymore. They'd treat it well there, it was going to live at the church. It should be happy at what a kind mother she was after all. She could have beaten it to death here, but instead she was merciful on such a disgusting and pathetic thing.

She never looked back when he was taken away. Nor did she bother thinking of him again until he killed her years later.

At the church, Yuu met what would be his first real friend, a child named Alma. He was scared of people, but Alma didn't give up. He saw through Yuu's rage and anger, and realized how afraid he was. And after a short him, Yuu gave in and they became the best of friends. And that pure-hearted friendship became a child's version of first love. They played house, mimicking the married members of the church, and swore to run away together one day to become farmers. Neither of them had ever touched a garden, but somehow surrounding themselves with life seemed like the right thing to do.

The experiments and rituals done on them were painful. There wasn't a day that they didn't come out of the Order's secret chambers bruised and bleeding. They learned not to cry anymore, because this was necessary. For the good of mankind and for the good of god. They held hands in empty hallways, watching their bodies twist and regenerate in silence. They were becoming monsters, beasts of holy power. The leader of their group said they were man-made angels. They thought that they looked more like dead things, or demons.

They decided two things. That god's followers were cruel, and that they could bear any sorrows if they just held each other's hands.

Almost a year passed, and as Kanda's seven birthday approached, he was taken away from Alma instead of allowed to go with him to their usual torture. Kanda was special now. Kanda had a role that was of utter importance, and nothing was more honorable than to have it.

He would become a mother. He would give birth to god, and god would lead them into paradise. God would save them, and bring about a world without sin, pain or suffering. And although it would hurt, the leaders were sure that Yuu could bear it. He was strong, and good. And who wouldn't want to be the mother of god? Others had failed in this role. Traditional methods had failed. So it was up to Yuu to try very hard to accept god, and give birth to her. It was his purpose and destiny, and the world was counting on him.

Kanda swore that he could see the farm that he and Alma imagined burning away in his mind as they started the new rituals.

He never had a chance to tell Alma. They kept them seperated after that, because they could not risk Kanda being tainted with outside influence. And despite how often he tried to sneak out to see him, or Alma tried to break in, it was over a year later that they finally reunited...

When Alma had gone insane, twisted into a monstrous mimicry of his former self, and killed several order members on the way to try to kill Kanda. The beast sobbed and heaved, crying out in broken words that Yuu couldn't understand.

"!uuY ,rehtegot eid s'teL !siht od ot evah I ....sihT !su fo lla dna-A !em dnA !uoy gnillik er'yehT ...er'yehT !retsnom a si dog ,uuY"

And Yuu reacted by instinct alone, slaying his one and only friend by the powers that the church had forced him to have. And he sobbed for the first time in over a year as Alma died in his arms, still trying to kill him until the last breath he took. And after that, Yuu was cold and numb. He didn't care about being a mother, helping people or finishing the rituals. He had lost everything. And the rituals they preformed became less and less successful every time. He was not allowed time to mourn, and he began to truly hate the church and those in it. He watched other children come and go, and die. And his heart felt like ice in his chest.

Finally, after almost a decade of torment, mutilation and rituals, Yuu was deemed unable to bear god. Already too sick and weak to fight back, he watched with cold eyes as he was burned to death. His body was tossed into the abandoned hospital, and they forgot about him in their anger. He was a worthless child after all. It was his fault that god hadn't come back. They had others, though. So it wasn't a total loss. They'd just use what the learned from working on him, and force another child to bear god. And that was the last they thought they'd heard of him.

Three days later, Yuu woke up a monster. Joined with the darkness and one of the children of the fog sent to judge sinners.

And he started picking them off, one by one.

Important things to know:
- Kanda can be seen as a child, or as an adult. As an adult, he can benefit from the darkness or be possessed and harmed by it.
- No matter how cruel the wound, he will regenerate from it.
- Silent Hill is always with him. Surfaces he touches will twist and age.
- He feels guilty about Alma's death, and not being able to birth god. That's part of why the rituals failed, and part of why the darkness often attacks him.
- He doesn't know how to feel about his gender, or sexuality. He's still very much a child when that is concerned.
- All of his canon friends and companions were friends from the church, other children caught in the cruel game that the leaders had placed them in. So he will recognize Allen, Lavi, and other people favorably, more favorably than canon Kanda.
-There's was a sentence here. It's gone now.
