大家好吗?Missed me?

I'm still in Dalian but tomorrow I'm off to Korea. The 5 weeks I spent here counts for one of the best times of my life. I really hadn't thought China is so much fun.

I cannot express in words how happy and grateful I am for coming here. Last year when I was applying for university I didn't have any idea what to do with my life. Choosing sinology and koreanistics was a way of escaping the responsibility for not studying economics, which my parents so much wanted me to study. At that time I was very doubtful if I made a good decision. I was asking myself if I really want to learn Chinese and Korean, since so far I've been mostly interested in Japan and its popculture. But after the 5 weeks spent in China I think and I feel that I could really live and work here. Not because I'm learning the language nor I'm keen on the modern music and movies(I'm not, just an example xP)nor that the culture/history fascinates me. Just because I like it here. I like walking through the streets, bargaining with the sellers, chatting with randomly met people. It's strange to say this but I really feel here like at home.

I still don't know what proffesion would suit me the best. I'm aware of the fact that just knowing languages is not good enough. But for the first time I don't feel scared about the future. I still have Korea to discover, but so far it's China that seems like my place.

Since I don't have much time left, I'll leave here some short notices :

- I've met here many fantastic people, both natives and overseas - Korean, Japanese, Russian. I've made a really great friend - Anna, that's about you!
- managed to get a suntun and a little sunburn here, but this time it was my very own decision to finally get rid of my paleness. Only that sleeping on the beach wasn't the best way to get the suntan xP so for the first time in my whooooooooole life I'm not deadly pale. just pale :P
- found Keralike clothes shop....oh yeah x3
- became a mega-maniac of 周星驰(Zhou Xing Chi)'s movies *yeah, yeah, and himself too xD
- looks like I really lost some weight, but still not as much as I'd like to(next time I need to spend holidays in a place with some terrible cuisine xD)
- bought lots of stuff which I don't know how to take to Korea x_x*never mind the trip back to Poland ==* my luggage'll definitely be OVER-overweighted!!
- my spoked Chinese is not as terribly bad as I'd thought! it's.....just bad xD
-Chinese food is way too tasty....you can't say 'no' to check out some new reastaurants ^^""!
- some webpages do not want to open in China i.e. sugizolove.com..that's so far the most annoying thing for me. the other one being the lack of toilet paper in wc. yes, in this country you have to carry toilet paper with yourself or buy it before entering wc, 嘻嘻

From BeijingDalian with love,

神明月 <-- yes, this is my Chinese name. I'm very proud since I chose it myself and Chinese ppl keep praising me that it sounds very nice *vanity mode on*

BTW: for those who don't know - From Beijing with Love is Stephen Chow(周星驰)'s parody of James Bond movies. I just couldn't help myself and had to write about this :3
