The doctor's office called today. The test showed that I have a low-functioning gall bladder.

I have to go see a surgeon, who will decide whether to take it out or not. The PA I talked to said that he'll more than likely opt to remove it, especially because I have a history of pancreatitis. Oh yeah, I don't think I wrote that in here yet. Turns out a bad gall bladder can cause pancreatitis all by itself. That could have been the problem this whole time. But yeah, she said that with this pain, the test that shows low function, and history of pancreatitis, he'll probably take it out.

The only problem is that the surgeon they referred me to doesn't have any appointments for a WEEK. I guess two of their doctors are on vacation or something. And I can't just pick another surgeon because if I'm not referred by my doc, my insurance won't cover it. I tried to call back to see if they can give me another doctor's number, but they have to check with my doctor and get back to me, blah blah blah. It's all a big mess. In the meantime, I made an appointment for next Monday, and I'll be at home whining and popping Vicodin until then.

Know what sucks though? Josh and I are going up north to the lake house with my entire family on the 22nd. I'm not seeing the surgeon for an evaluation until the 7th. So who knows if my (possible) surgery will be done and healed in time for me to be able to enjoy the jetski? I sure hope so. Gall bladder removal surgery isn't really a big deal these days, I'd be in the hospital less than a day. They say recovery is pretty quick, but I don't know when I'll even have the surgery, and if something like jetskiing would be a good idea within a certain amount of time.

Anyway. I'm sure everyone's sick of reading about my gall bladder, but I can't just stop updating you. That would feel incomplete and wrong.
