melees are painful

Yesterday was a very good fight practice day. I got to fight my first melee ever. Two teams of 6. wee! I got my ass kicked almost literally. I have a small purple bruise on my hip, just above my left cheek and my left thigh is a mess. One bruise is high up, near the hip bone and is a 3" X 4" rectangle. Lovely. And a paler but deeper bruise
