3 things
Three things, in order from most important to least.
First Thing
For those that don't know already (since I haven't been very good at spreading the word): Alex and I are engaged. We plan on getting married sometime in 2011, probably when its warmer. She's still in Chicago at the moment, because she needs to finish her thesis for her master's degree and graduate still.
This is the ring I gave Alex--the very ring, since that's a picture of Alex.
Second Thing
I'm now the Department Manager of the Stationary Department at my store. I was offered it directly after my 90 day performance review (I had previously given a letter of intent so it wasn't out of the blue). We've just wrapped up inventory, so I'll be able to focus on making sure I learning my job (its hard to stock when all the stock's been counted and can't be touched).
Third Thing
I read a lot of role playing blogs, and it turns out one of them is written by someone in the Burlington area: Held Action. Tyler talks about Quarterstaff Games fairly often, which is kind of cool.
