This is a pointelism of my face. It's a self Portrait. That guy is me. The lighting on the Second picture is harsh. It'll cut you, however it is the finished version.
I think you feeling happy is the greatest thing you could have possibly given me. Art is about expression. The fact that you feel happiness after seeing this definitelly makes me feel closer to you. Thank you!
If you step really far away from it and squint your eyes, it doesn't look any different than the rest of the world while squinting your eyes... but somehow I think that's different than what you had in mind. Done with toothpicks man... Now that the project is finished I can't keep the things out of my mouth.
Ya, because each toothpick has a different color of paint on it and if I set it down it would get paint on whatever I set it down on. I kept them in my mouth so this wouldn't happen. It's crazy!
Wasn't your livejournal gone yesterday? Well, I like that it's back again. I agree. Pointelism seems to call in the viewer instead of the artist calling out to the viewers. It's not like this piece will ever need to be in a museum to have attention called to itself. Which I don't think is exactly what you had in mind but thanks for evoking thought in me!
I'll scan one I made of myself when I was 13. It will take me at least a week to find it though. My whole basement/addict/two other rooms are filled will my art and photography. So, be patient cutie pie.
Yea! This is me and I am here. Fran and I REALLY enjoyed this. Must have taken forever... So much detail and so well done!!!!! You really captured your expression and smile which makes me smile in return. Yayness! Thanks for calling at the perfect time. And calling back when I spaced... Lots of love always, Lynn
