I don't know exactly what's going on between you two but I'm going to give my two cents anyway

I just found out something that was assumed I knew and was upset then somehow we branched onto to talking about this (the ultimatum). He casually dropped it on us to then realize we can't just decide at a finger snap. As he spoke about no longer hooking up or being something more than we are...he was neglecting the first option but subtly ruling out the other one as well by mentioning what he wouldn't want from us if we were something more...I'm not sure what's going through his head at the moment. I'm not really all that mortified by this, I'd just like to know what he's thinking. Open relationships leave cavity to something we both don't want the other to do so it's really just accepting what we are without a status change or just not being at all...but that's the way I PERSONALLY see it kdhfsklfh
