Film festival season is upon us yet again. There are actually a ton of interesting films on this year, but I couldn't justify getting a 950kr festival pass ($117). So I got a season pass that gives you five tickets for the price of four.
I've picked out the following films:
- Chasuke's Journey, Director: SABU, Country: Japan, Year: 2015
- Miss Hokusai, Director: Keiichi HARA, Country: Japan, Year: 2015
- Ryuzo and the Seven Henchmen, Director: Takeshi KITANO, Country: Japan, Year: 2015
- Our Little Sister, Director: Hirokazu KOREEDA, Country: Japan, Year: 2015
- The Case of Hana and Alice, Director: Shunji IWAI, Country: Japan, Year: 2015
5 Japanese films, surprising absolutely no one.
We don't get a lot of Japanese films at cinemas here, so I jump at every opportunity. There are more Japanese films on the festival programme (and a lot of Ghibli films!), but... priorities. I'd love to go see
600 Miles as well, it's been ages since I saw Tim Roth in anything new. Also sad to miss out on
Remake, Remix, Rip-Off: About Copy Culture & Turkish Pop Cinema. That title alone! Haha. Hopefully I'll be able to watch these two later on at some point.
Have you seen any good films lately?
