Our legs are sore from walking and standing around Disney Sea all day, what was supposed to be a relaxing day of cafe visits ended up being a day of walking, exploring, taking pictures, and visiting photo galleries. Whoops? It's not actually a bad thing, haha.
We started out somewhere between Shibuya and Harajuku. Christian stopped by a photo book store where we carefully considered a ridiculously expensive out of print book before making our way towards Yoyogi park and Shinjuku.
In Shinjuku we made our usual round of photo galleries. We went to a cafe afterwards where something really strange happened. Christian was paying for his drink when an other foreigner walked in and exclaimed (in English) that he wanted to talk to the manager. The cafe staff really didn't know what to do or how to answer this guy, and Christian got stuck trying to help them out. Of course we all figured that this guy was here to complain about something, but as soon as Christian talked to him he started talking about how he had a great idea and needed to talk to the manager of the cafe to be able to realize his plan. The guy came off as kind of scary and aggressive. I don't know, he gave off a really strange vibe. After a good couple of minutes, he left, and the cafe staff gave Christian thankful nods for dealing with the guy in their place xD we hung around the cafe a little longer than planned, because we honestly didn't want to bump into the guy again outside.
Once this was done, we headed to Tower Records where I did some more damage to my wallet, but the shopping didn't end there :s we went back to Akiba before dinner and I stopped by Super Potato and got a whole bunch of Game Boy and Famicom games :s
Dinner was at the wonderful
Ichiran ramen in Ueno. It's a tonkotsu ramen place where you get to completely customize your bowl of ramen so that everything is to your liking. It's fantastic.
The night still wasn't over, so we went and did karaoke again. My voice has started going a little husky, I think I've contracted a mild summer cold, but I seem to be doing okay. My singing today was not up to par, but whatevsss. I had a lot of fun. Also the parfait at the karaoke place was fricking delicioussss
As always, Christians pictures are
here.
