Day 7

Aug 10, 2014 01:55

It's day 7 already? How did that happen? Anyway. Today was the slowest day so far, but we still crammed a lot of stuff into our schedule xD; I enjoy this style of vacationing a lot, just .. seeing where the day takes you.

I started out wandering about Akihabara for a bit to visit some of my favourite shops. I picked up guide books for Soulblader and Illusion of Gaia at Super Potato. The Game Boy games caught my interest this time, and I think I'll probably pick some up later, we'll see. Just had an urge to give myself an excuse to pick up my old GBC again. Though a backlit device for GB playing purposes would be nice too ... maybe I'll look for a GBA micro ....

I stopped by Tower Records while waiting to meet up with Christian, and I bought a bunch of CDs I've been meaning to pick up. I still need to find the Disney Rocks! Girl Band album.. thing, and I think I want to pick up the Japanese soundtrack for Frozen. FROZEN IS ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE HERE NOW, OH MY GOD. Family Mart has Olaf themed POTATO SALAD. I am not even joking. Hahahahahahahha.

After meeting up with Christian, we went to Asakusa and jumped on to the water bus to Odaiba.

The last time we did this, we took the cruise version, this was just the regular ... bus version. Which was more or less the same, except you had to transfer to a different boat at Hinode, which was okay. Oh, and you didn't have to get up out of your seat to buy drinks, they would take your order at your seat and bring your drinks to you. The prices were very reasonable too.
There was a stand at the Hinode pier that sold "boat dogs" and tortilla chips ... xD; tortilla chippppsssss.

At Odaiba I did some serious damage to my wallet. I bought .... a bunch of stuff. I should pack my suitcase and check how much more stuff I can bring back home with me :S

We wanted to visit the Noitamina cafe ... but it has a special pre-register ticket system on Saturdays, so no luck. There were tons of Psycho Pass related things going on all over Odaiba, so it would have been fun to browse the goods section at Noitamina :/ I guess we have to go back on a weekday.

Then we meant to buy tickets for Disneyland, but the ticket counter at the Disney Store was closed and claimed that tickets were sold out for all of next week. Hahahahhahaha. Haaaa. We'll see. I'll go check the Disney Store in Shibuya tomorrow.

We had delicious Hawaiian burgers for dinner, and went by Yurikamome back to Kanda where we finished our day with a couple of hours of karaoke~ So much fun! I'm very rusty, and I found it extremely difficult to find artists and songs to sing xD; We need to go do this again so that I can do all the songs I'm just now remembering.

During some random searching we found Ylvis' What Does the Fox Say. ... I can't.

Pictures!
I walk around with film cameras, and I am apparently too lazy to take out my phone every time something interesting pops up, so I am sharing Christian's pictures :S
Pictures are over here.

This gallery features a bunch of his pictures, so not all of these pictures are from today (or even from this holiday) 8D You click the link "Fortsett" to go back further to see even more pictures (lucky!)
