Infinite Patience
It's hot outside, so we decided to have breakfast for dinner \0/ ... our breakfast never actually looks like this, but yeah. This made for an excellent summer-y dinner.
Danish rye bread, hard boiled eggs, raw salmon, spring onion, salt, mayo~~~ and obligatory orange juice, of course.
:D I am for some reason very happy about this.
Not so happy about my progress with my Japanese studies. Maybe I'm just having a slow language day. I've reached the end of the week of the listening exercises, and at the end of each week there's a test to summarize all the things you've learnt the previous days. I scored only 78 points (out of 100), and I feel I should do better at this point. It's difficult when the test involves expressions I've never heard before, though 8D; And I still don't really understand causative and causative passive. I am able to identify the usage, but it takes me a ridiculous amount of time to process the meaning. Add てもらう or てくれる and you have completely lost me. I wonder why this concept is so difficult for me to grasp.
Have you guys seen this post over at childfree? I noticed it was featured on the homepage, so I figured some of you might have seen it too. I don't know why, but I am so amused by this post. I re-read it at work today, and started laughing out loud. I'd love to watch that security tape! Hahahahahah.
Do any of you follow the podcast Judge John Hodgman? I've listened to a good chunk of episodes, and it's very entertaining. I kind of want to submit an issue of my own (if only I could think of one :D). Last night I listened to a great episode that was filled with Disneyland geekery. Much recommended. Uuungh, I love kanji so much. Of course '"save" - "fast" - "car"' means ambulance. ahsdjkhsafkhakf ♥ Not to mention that the word reads out like a fricking siren. Japaneseeeee~!
