Work is still terrible for me this week, tomorrow is Friday, let's soldier on! GRRRRR *clenches teeth*

I went on my first run of the year today! Meant to start this way sooner, but weather, life and Oslo in general was against me. But I completed a nice 3km run today :D My muscles are all wobbly, I feel good 8]

This is really interesting, especially because I completely agree with you about the monarchy. Your monarchy is the same as ours and while I can understand why people would want rid I really like our royal family. I mean, the amount of people that flock to London because of them is amazing, it's easy to take it for granted. I also think it's important to have a high up figure who's seperate from our government. You're so right about it being part of our culture. It's something that binds all of the country together. In the past two years we've had a royal wedding and the Diamond Jubilee events and it brought people together, as shared events, in a really nice way.

One thing I am curious about though. I think because our Queen reigns over such a wide area and because she's been around for so long we take her fame for granted (we're often told that she's the most famous woman on the planet). Does she take up as much news in your country or is that place in the press reserved for your king? The King of Norway would never make the news here. Saying that though, it was strange that Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and her recent abdication did make the news over here so maybe he would!
