... Anyone Even Remember Me?
Oh dear, wow. Have I really not updated since I left for Japan? That's rather embarrassing.
I got back home April 8th, but struggled with a cold I caught during my last days in Tokyo. Then work took up all my time, and then I caught another cold! Good times.
Japan was great! I stayed at a ryokan in Kyoto, saw the cherry blossoms, encountered extremely friendly deer in Nara, travelled with the Shinkansen, hung out with photography people in Tokyo, went to DisneySea ... HAD FUN. Basically. It was a great trip, though travelling across the country and changing hotels all the time was a pretty exhausting experience, and it reminded me of why we usually stick with apartment hotels or renting actual apartments when we go on vacation. It's just a lot more convenient.
The ryokan was absolutely fabulous, though. THE BREAKFASTS WE WERE SERVED, holy hell. Very expensive. Absolutely worth it.
My journey to Japan ended up being quite an ordeal, and we got stranded in Paris on our way back. I got sunburnt in Kyoto, and experienced CRAZY SPRING RAIN in Tokyo. I have many stories to tell!
But I need to completely kick this cold first. Also unpack, maybe. And I need to call my uncle who called me two weeks ago asking for help for something :X
