You know it's time to do laundry when you're forced to wear a bikini bottom because there's no clean underwear left for you to use. Hah. ... of course I'm also out of detergent.
I sit here anxiously refreshing my cable service provider's website in the hopes of being given the option to activate my WiMP membership.
WiMP is a Norwegian music streaming service, much like Spotify. They focus on Norwegian artists, which suits my interests just fine. I've been following the developments of the whole WiMP project and was contemplating giving it a go. Never got around to signing up because I was worried I'd actually like it and thus create another monthly expense for myself. WiMP has a one moth free trial period, but once that's over you have to pay for the service. I guess 99kr a month isn't too bad, but do I really listen to that much music? Hm.
BUT THEN... last week, a letter arrived from our cable service provider informing me that they've signed a deal with WiMP, and ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS GET A BASIC WiMP SUBSCRIPTION FOR FREE. LOL WHAT. Awesome how things just work out some times.
Trouble was, I couldn't find the activation link where they said it would be, so I had to send off a query asking about it. Turns out I had an unpaid bill, which makes no sense to me as there's no record of this on my customer page on their site, nor have I received any new bills from them. What's more, when they replied they notified me that they'd texted me the payment info, but the number they gave in their reply is not the phone number I have entered in my customer info on their site (it's my old phone number, but still.. it's never been registered on their site). .... They eventually texted the right number, I paid the bill, and I sit here hoping I didn't just fall for some weird scam (intercepted query form?). Haha. ... *refreshes, refreshes*. I want to be able to sign up for WiMP already, omg.
