I'm a Little Monster

I'm doing everything I can to enjoy my last two weekdays of bumming around before I show up for my first day of work on Monday xD;

Today was largely spent lusting over Lady Gaga. I've been a fan of Gaga's music for a while now, but I've never really bothered watching her music videos and such.. so I decided that today I'd watch them to see what I think. I love following her on twitter, and I've enjoyed reading interviews and such, so I figured... I'll still be able to love her and her music even if her videos repulse me.

And so I went to her official youtube and ended up watching every single video there (except for the Grammy performance which is blocked in my country ;___; fuuuuu, at least I've seen it once already) . @_@; And wow. Mama Monster leaves me speechless (.... lolol). The videos are amazing~ So over the top, I just can't stop staring. I can't even remember why I didn't like the Telephone video back when it first came out, because I love it now! I guess I didn't notice all the funky little details, like how her "bling" in the jail sequences are made out of stuff like cigarettes and empty cans. Awesome! XD;

And she's talking Swedish with Alexander Skarsgård in Paparazzi! Hahaha, that took me by surprise. Her pronunciations are quite good too! :D The explicit version is the best, Skarsgård calling her a "jävla fitta~!" and throwing her off the balcony, ffffffff XD; AND THEN THE WHEELCHAIR SEQUENCE. I died.

Baaah, so yeah. I'm well and truly into her now (hey, better late than never). Hopefully I'll be able to go see her live the next time she shows up in Oslo.

I'm actually glad I caught on to Gaga, because she's made me interested in pop music again. Though it's also kind of depressing, because even though there are a billion Gaga clones out there right now, none do it quite like her, and so the only current Western pop act I listen to is her.... 8Db

Needless to say, I'm stupidly excited about Born This Way, even though I know I'll probably be disappointed by it. Having extremely high expectations about long overdue single and album releases never lead to anything good <,<;; But hey, it's Gaga... so you never know. She's bound to surprise me.
