Maxwell Leather Demon rock hand jive
Just re-watched Velvet Goldmine for the first time in years. Oh man, blast from the past. So while the main character went through his "that was my teenage years..." kind of thing, SO DID I. lolololol. I still want all the costumes from the film. It made me miss my impossibly heavy platform shoes, rainbow make-up, and my (slightly big) tail coat. Wha. I wish I had more pictures of myself from that phase, it was such a fun time for me~ 8] AT LEAST WHEN LOOKING BACK NOW. Hahahaha. I should go check out second hand shops and see if I can't glam up my wardrobe somewhat. I went through my closet today and got rid of a bunch of clothes that I never wear (will donate to charity). My closet is in desperate need of more sweaters and cardigans. Also dresses. Omg, I crave more dresses.
I have to admit that I'd completely forgotten how brilliant Velvet Goldmine really is. In my mind the whole film had boiled down to "Ewan McGregor is nude in it, and they sing, and there is glitter". It's so much more. Silly mind.
I need to dig out my soundtrack (I've got it somewhere), and put it on my iPod. The soundtrack is perfect to listen to when strolling around the city. Especially now in spring (Velvet Goldmine has always been my spring film). ♥
