So I went to the Day of Hanami event at the Historical museum today. It was crowded, but fun. Met a guy from my Japanese class, and he recognised some of our kouhais, but apart from that... I didn't know anyone. Which was a bit surprising. Then again, I guess everyone I know who're really into Japan are still in Japan right now @_@;
I was randomly approached by a girl who went "May I hang out with you? You seem so nice~ and I'm all alone because none of my friends wanted to come with me~~". It was.... odd, but I mean, sure. If she wanted to hang out with me then fine xD She told me her name, but I didn't really catch it. She was 18 and had been to Japan several times. She was absolutely floored when I told her I was 23, though XD She almost looked disappointed in a way, it was strange. I guess that's just further proof that I don't look my age <,<;; She eventually met some friends and we split up.
Mum seemed pleased with the outing (she got her fix of Japanese culture - she's got Japan on the brain, worse than I ever had! D:) and we've made plans to go to the movies sometime next month. Whoo~ She scored herself four free tickets to the Oslo cinemas because she recruited two new members into her union. Haha, go mum!
Japanese culture week at Steen&Strøm? ... what?
They were filming some scenes for the longest running Norwegian drama ever, Hotel Cæsar (I thought that had ended?)
