I'm Baaack~

Dec 28, 2008 21:25

Christmas came and passed and it was rather uneventful for me. It was nice and quiet, and I ate way too much food. Just as well, I guess, since I didn't have a traditional Christmas last year :P

A list of presents! Since everyone else has been doing them.

From dad; 200kr ($28)
From mom; SingStar Singalong With Disney
From mom and dad; Everyday ( Read more... )

Those sprinkles sound adorable, and those chicken cupcakes look so good! I've never had them before.

They are so colourful and fun :D I can't wait to begin experimenting with decorating cakes and cupcakes. Iiih~

I've never had/made the chicken cupcakes before either. They turned out really good and I'm sure I'll experiment with the recipe and add in other things than chicken to make other delicious lunch treats :D I can give you the recipe if you're interested in trying them yourself~

All measurements are in the metric system, I'd convert the measurements for you if I understood the American system @___@;;

Spicy Chicken Cupcakes (said to make 12 cupcakes, though I got 19 out of my batch)
- 1 1/4 dl sunflower or peanut oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 spring onions, chopped
- 1 small red chili, no seeds and finely chopped
- Meat from 3 chicken thighs
- 1 ts (teaspoon) red pepper
- 300g wheat flour
- 2 ts baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbs (tablespoon) lemon juice
- 1 tbs grated lemon zest
- 1 1/4 dl sour cream
- 1 1/4 dl yoghurt
- salt
- pepper

Oil a muffin pan for 12 muffins with sunflower oil or use paper cups. Heat a bit of the rest of the oil in a pan and fry the onions (I thought it looked like a lot of onion, so I ended up only using one), spring onions and chili for 3 minutes. Stir ( ... )

Oooh, the cupcakes look delicious ♥ I really wish I knew how to cook. And also that my oven didn't kill everything I make >:

Sounds like you had a pretty neat Christmas, and yey presents!

Cooking is not as hard as it looks xD; I really want to be more creative in the kitchen, so I planned on buying new kitchen utensils and baking equipment for myself as a new year's resolution kind of deal.. then my mum beat me to it. Awesome~ xD If you like cooking, just go for it! Practice makes perfect :) And you can always invite someone over to help you out ;)

It was nice and quiet. Good old quality time with the family :P
