Wide Awake

I went home to my parents for the weekend and had an abslutely miserable time. I wrote a huge entry about this in dobbeltgjenger and don't really have the energy to go on and repeat myself here... but in short you could say that I've come to realise that things just won't change.

On top of emotional stress I also caught the flu or something similar. It hurts to breathe, I'm all clogged up and I have no appetite. It's horrible. I hope it clears up before Friday T_T;

Halloween was spent telling kids that we didn't have any candy to part with. I like Halloween, but I think trick or treat is a stupid tradition. Norway only started doing the Halloween thing a couple of years ago, so our Halloween is a bit messed up compared to how Halloween is celebrated in the US. Trick or treaters tend to be from the age 13 and up, most often older. And you are most likely going to get your house egged if you deny them candy. Thankfully the kids ringing my parents' doorbell were considerate enough to just use liquid strings as their trick. The front of our house was covered in pink slimy strings XD Easy to get off, though and no staining so whoo. Good, fun trick. Makes me wish that we'd thought of that for the times we went trick or treating back in secondary school. Fun tricks like that are bound to have a more positive effect than say filling up people's mailboxes with leaves 8D;
