We All Love Lists, No?
The weather Gods obviously didn't approve of my plan to go to Akihabara today, so instead of going there and wasting a shitload of money, I decided to sit down and write a list of places I want to see in Tokyo.
More for my own interest, I guess.. I need to write this stuff down before I forget.
I bought a guide book/map/fun spots recommending magazine yesterday. It was the same magazine Lin had, except this one is updated for 2008 as opposed to his 2007 version 8D; So here's a list of stuff I'd like to see~
お台場 (Odaiba);
This district seems awesome, and it has a lot of things I'd like to go see. It is kind of far away, though. Have to go to 新橋駅 (Shimbashi station) and switch over to a monorail (?) line. It's supposed to take about half an hour if you start out from Tokyo station.. I don't know XD;
- ソニー・エクスプローラサイエンス (Sony ExploraScience)
... actually I'm not really sure I want to go there. It seems like a lot of fun, but if most of the activities are in Japanese only, it would kind of suck. I don't like not knowing what I'm supposed to do XD
- マッスルパーク (Muscle Park)

- 東京ジョイポリス (Tokyo Joypolis)
Rides and arcades, oh my! XD
- パレットタウン大観覧車 (Palette Town Daikanransha)
Huuuuuge ferris wheel ftw!
- フジテレビ本社ビル (Fuji Terebi Honsha Biru)
We drove past the Fuji Television building when we went to Umi Hotaru. It has such an interesting design and you can actually go into it and stuff~ must have an awesome view.
- レインボーブリッジ (Rainbow Bridge)
Apparently you get a nice view of this from the monorail on the way to Odaiba, so that works out fine. XD

渋谷 (Shibuya);
I feel I've been to the most interesting places here already xD But, I definitely need to go back, take more pictures and do more shopping 8D; No specific places I'd like to go see, except maybe Love Hotel Hill, but where the heck is it? XD Hm, come to think of it NHK Studiopark would be cool as well.
秋葉原 (Akihabara);
I can't get enough of Akihabara, and I really feel like I need to explore this place more @_@; I've been there three times already, but I kind of went to the same places all three times so lol! Stores/places I want to go to;
- Some kind of maid cafe
Yes, I want to go to one, just to have that experience XD Although it also kind of scares me but whatevar. The magazine I bought has a little selection of the most popular ones, so I should probably go to one of those XD
- 東京アニメセンター (Tokyo Anime Center)
It's supposed to have lots of anime merchandise. Whooo~ XD
- AKB48劇場 (AKB48 Theatre)
I've never listened to AKB48, and I don't know much about them, but going there would be fun. Or so I think. XD
- GEESTORE アキバ
Toys and costumes and stuff, huzzah XD
- アニメイト (Animate)
This shop was mentioned by Konata in Lucky Star as being better than Gamers, so of course I have to go check it out XD
- ゲームショップ紙風船 (Game shop Kamifusen)
It's recommended in my magazine so err? I guess I could go check it out if I find it xD
池袋 (Ikebukuro);
I don't really know anything about Ikebukuro, but every time I hear "Ikebukuro" I get Adam and Joe's Gaijin Invasion stuck in my head XD; Don't know why "Ikebukuro" is the only thing that really triggers it.
- ナムコ・ナンジャタウン (Namko Namjatown)
Gyouza stadium, Tokyo dessert republic, ice cream city and more. It looks... insane *wants to go* XDD The mascot characters are creepy as hell, though *__*!!
浅草 (Asakusa);
I guess I have to go here *nodnod* Mike keeps bugging me that we need to go. And I do want to. The huge red lantern thingie! :D Need a picture with that XD Plus Asakusa is a great place to go souvenir shopping, so I'll do that @_@;

上野 (Ueno);
Ueno is close by, it's where I change trains to go further in to Tokyo so I never really think of Ueno as a place to go visit XD But I definitely want to check out Ueno Zoo. Yes. Pandas!
吉祥寺 (Kichijouji);
GHIBLI MUSEUM. AUGH. Should order tickets soon if I want to go T___T;!
東京ドームシティ (Tokyo Dome City);
This has its own section in my magazine (like all the districts..) so yes. Anyway. Morning Musume has been to the attractions there a lot. The 13 Doors ghost house thing and other various rides. Would be fun to try them out for myself XDD
... and last, but not least. Tokyo Disneland. Or DisneySea. Haven't quite made up my mind about which park yet. Leaning towards Disneyland, though.

Ooookay, that's more or less it. Hm, need to actually go up in Tokyo Tower someday... I also want to go to the H!P Winter concert, will have to look into where the concert will be at, ticket price etc.. but yesh. It'll probably be impossible to do all the things I've listed here, but at least I have a list of stuff to choose from now XD Better than to walk around aimlessly once winter break comes around, no? :) Plus maybe this post will help out others who are planning a trip to Tokyo and don't know what to see there. Lulz, I don't know. XD
