46- Day Dream
Their soul-mates were more and more day-dreaming. And it was a cause of concern. Particularly when Leah fainted. So, Carlisle, decided to do a check-up. When Alice, Jasper and Edward read the results, it was surreal. They were pregnant. How so, no one knew, but there was the proof. Rosalie was slightly bitter. But a talk with Esme took care of that. And then, it sink in. They were going to be parents. Daddies (even if they didn’t understand for Alice and Leah). A gift from the ancestors. And after that, it was the vampires’ turn to be seen day-dreaming.
47- Cold medicine
Ephraïm Masen Black-Cullen pouted. It was a very cute view but Jacob was loosing his patience.
“You need to take your medicine.”
“I don’t wanna!”
“I don’t want to.” Corrected Edward “But you need to take it anyway. You are sick.”
“It tastes weird, Papa!” Edward played with his son’s hair.
“I know but you want to play with your cousins, don’t you? If you don’t take it, you’re going to have more sick days, maybe a week!”
Ephraïm’s eyes opened wide and so his mouth. Jacob give the cough mixture and Ephraïm, automatically, swallowed. He could do this sacrifice.
48- Resolution
Alice was determined, nothing could stop her now.
“You’re grounded young lady!”
“But why? You never grounded me before!” Alice winced. She always has been the ‘cool/best friend’ mother and Leah the killjoy. Until Leah reached her breaking point. So, the wolf decided to go on holidays, alone, and to let Alice deal with their daughter. It was like a slap on her face. Since then, after making amends with her girl, Alice always stood by Leah’s side when she grounded their Cynthia. But now, it was time for Alice to act like a mother. She saw Leah’s proud smile.
49- “It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt”
“I don’t see what’s wrong with a little fun!” Harry was now 16.
“It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Love is something you have to take seriously.” Seth said to his son. It was time for crushes and ‘experimentation’. Harry looked at Jasmine, his current girlfriend.
“I know dad. I’m promised I’m careful. I just want to be a normal teenager for a while.” He smile sadly to his son. Normality is not something you see often in their family.
“As long as you’re careful.” He gave his son a kiss on the top of his head.
50 - By the dark of the moon
“By the dark of the Moon, I’ll punish you!”
“I’m so happy she’s only 6. That’s would be awkward otherwise.” Edward laughed at his husband. Fifty years after the first ‘heat’, the wolves had another one. Edward and Jacob had a girl, Elizabeth. Leah and Alice got a boy, Charlie. And Seth and Jasper got another boy, Pierce. Named after Jasper’s brother Peter. The said uncle and his wife were absolutely fascinated by their nephews (and honorary nieces).
“We still have a decade before anything happen, let’s enjoy it.” Life was good and they’ll do everything to stay that way.
