I woke up smelling something sweet. I frowned, my eyes still closed as I turned around to lie on my side.
The only one who smelled this sweet to me was him. I reminded myself of the fact that he couldn’t be here at all. He wasn’t allowed to be here on our land. We both knew that.
Suddenly I felt something caress my cheek. I sighed, as I leaned into the soft touch. Maybe I was still dreaming, because this couldn’t be real.
Then I hear a chuckle. ‘’I know you are awake, Sam.’’ A soft voice said, caressing my ear.
I slowly opened my eyes to see that Emmett was indeed kneeling beside my bed, resting his elbows on the side of the bed.
I yawn widely, tears coming to my eyes. ‘’What are you doing here? You know you can’t be here.’’ I slowly say, still feeling a bit sleepy.
‘’I know, but getting caught is worth it if I can get to see you like this.’’ Emmett says before leaning down and giving me a soft kiss.
The vampire says, winking at me. I smile before pulling him closer by the hem of his shirt. ‘’Like you care.’’ I whisper against his lips before kissing him again.
