Fucking leech! Paul snarled. His fur stood as his muscles tensed under his skin. He and the leech circled each other, him growling and the leech baring its teeth.
Paul don’t do anything stupid, Seth pleaded. Guys hurry! I can only keep him from snapping for so long!

Seth could see the forest from Sam’s eyes, they were still miles away. He whined and looked at Paul again. Paul

Paul ignored him and attacked the leech. Seth groaned and joined the attack, unwilling to let Paul get hurt. This leech was different… it was like he knew what they were going to do before they did it… but Seth didn’t think he had Edward’s ability.
Stop thinking and defend yourself! Sam’s growl snapped Seth out of his thoughts just in time for a leech to jump on his back. Seth spun in a fast circle trying to throw her off. It didn’t work. The last thing he heard before he started screaming was the sounds of bones breaking.

“I’m sorry Seth… so sorry… if I had just waited like you said you wouldn’t be hurt like this…”
The sound of Seth’s uneven breathing was the only reply Paul got. Paul closed his eyes tightly to keep his tears at bay. He gripped Seth’s uninjured hand tightly and pressed the fingers to his lips.
“I got that bitch for ya. I ripped her head off just as Sam and the others got there. I know that doesn’t even begin to make up for this… I’ll find something. I promise, I’ll atone for this.”
