Title: Need You Now
Community: taycob_kstew
Rated: PG-13
Pairing: Kristen/Taylor
Summary: Takes place after Australia Fan Event, 2010
------------------------------
I hope you all like this story, as it is my first one ever written. What better way to start my journey as a fan fic writer, but with two of my favorite people right now. I chose Kristen and Taylor because I’ve wanted them to be together for so long. Although in fantasy land, this is my take on how I would have them finally take that leap. I have so many more ideas and scenarios, but after watching her response to Teams at the Australia Q&A the other day, I got motivated. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I'm horrible at summaries and I'm only a blogger, but decided to take a shot.
On that note, I own nothing, no one, not a thing. If I did, I would be rich and going to the premiere on June 30th.

"Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothin' at all
It's a quarter after one I'm all alone and I need you now"
{TL POV}
“I feel really, really, really bad… but ..sorry”
Taylor is taken by surprise when she answers the big question she’s always avoided, but for some reason, she felt she had to, here, in front of thousands of people. He turns his head and leans his body away from her, then puts his head against the armrest of the couch. He can’t believe she actually answered that question, and to make it worse, she picked... him. He never thought it would hurt to hear her actually pick the opposing team, so it stung him a bit. He was always winning. He couldn’t show his true emotions to all these fans, so he laughed and tried to brush it off. He decided to pull himself together, nodded, and smiled.
What had changed? Since they made New Moon, he was sure she was on his side, but now, she proved him wrong. He thought maybe he shouldn’t read too much into it, but for the first time since they’ve become so close, he couldn’t help dwelling on this, even if it was more than he should.
After the interviews, autograph signing, meet and greets, and pictures, they all decided to head to dinner at Astral Restaurant* in Star City, Sydney. Everyone placed their orders and waited to be served, but Taylor couldn’t help the earlier events from flooding into his thoughts. He usually just let these things fade out, especially when it came to Kristen.
He sat at the table across from Kristen, like they always sat, and tried so very hard to keep his facial expressions and body language at bay, so he kept quiet for the most of the dinner while everyone continued deep in conversation. Kristen noticed his lack of participation, so she kept glancing over every so often but Taylor would avoid eye contact. If he caught her looking at him, he would give her a small smile. She would smile back, but he knew she could tell something was not exactly right.
After he finished his entrée, he looked up to see that Kristen was already finished with hers, and was now glaring at him. He was drinking a glass of water and almost choked at her deep hazel eyes trying to unsuccessfully penetrate his thoughts to find out why he was so quiet. He placed his glass on the table and started to stare at it, away from her gaze. He started fidgeting in his seat because he knew what was coming, but wanted so desperately to avoid it.
He felt, as one of his loyal and best friends, she should’ve backed him up earlier for this. He worked so hard. All he knew was that Team Edward, meant Team Rob in his book, and he was halfway across the world filming his new movie. Earlier that day, he decided to browse the internet to kill time while waiting for Kristen to call and let him know she was ready to head out to Luna Park, when he noticed the headline “Robert Pattinson on Location, Flirting with Reese Whiterspoon”. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He knew that a lot written about him, Kristen, and Rob was far from the truth, but this was from a reputable site. He didn’t know if should be mad, or hopeful. Now hopefully the tabloids would lay off of this whole Rob & Kristen charade.
What really brought his feelings back was seeing her when they did Oprah last month. She brought back some feelings when she mentioned Spain was a great experience. He only nodded when she mentioned this, but deep inside, he knew how special it was especially since they became so close on the New Moon tour. Spain was also so beautiful, just like Kristen’s smile when and how she lit up a room with it. Her smile warmed him. It’s funny because she always says he was the light to her, when here he thought she brightens his day.
He valued their friendship, and didn’t want to lose her as one of his most treasured best friends. He also didn’t want to put his heart at risk and make a fool out of himself.
After fidgeting with his fingers under the table for what felt like and hour, he looked up at Kristen and she was the first to speak.
“Hey, you’ve been quiet all night. Is something the matter?”
He was right. She knew something was up, but she didn’t know exactly what it was and he wasn’t going to tell her now. He started to think about the events that led to his inner turmoil now, and it then started to make him upset. Taylor was always honest with her, but sitting across from her now at dinner, he couldn’t help but feel like his throat was closing up and he would pass out from the lack of oxygen.
He wanted to answer her question without causing the others at the table to glance over at them, and see him upset. So, he settled for calm honesty. When he decided to go this route, the shirt that Chris wore on set all time came into his mind “Keep calm and carry on.”
“I just have some things on my mind, but nothing major, so don’t worry about it.”
“Yeah, like what? You wanna talk about it?” she asked.
“There’s nothing to talk about", he whispers across the table with a glint of annoyance in his eyes and tone. Now she was starting to get to him. He tried to block out the images, the undeniable pent up anger that showed through his response.
“Ok. I’m going out for a smoke, come with?” He always went with her, because he was a gentleman and didn’t want her to be outside alone. Taylor knew the second hand smoke would probably give him lung cancer some day, but he didn’t care too much; he was always there, because he felt it just made sense.
He pushed earlier back in his mind to hopefully let it disappear and got up.
“Ok.” She smiles that killer smile of hers, the irresistible one that makes his heart melt every time, gets up and walks to the front of the restaurant. He looks over to his dad and bodyguard to tell them where he’s headed. Good thing about being in a foreign country is being mobbed only happens in the day time. Plus it’s close to midnight now, so there was hardly anyone in sight. The restaurant owner was gracious enough to stay open until they finished their meals. Turns out his daughter is a HUGE Twilight fan.
As they stood outside while Kristen smoked, she was silent. Taylor can’t help but wonder why she’s now acting this way. Deep down inside, he knows she’s silent because she’s trying to find a way to come out and ask him what’s on his mind. The thought of her sneakily asking him outside to join him and for that reason started to bother him, so he stared at her and opened his mouth to talk, but the words come out a little too aggressively.
“Why are you quiet now?”
{KS POV}
“What’s wrong Taylor?” Kristen asked, starting to get frustrated with his behavior. She puts out her cigarette. He was always so sweet and polite to her, but sometimes, she just wished he would come out with his true feelings and not be afraid of letting her know what’s on his mind, even if it hurt.
He stared blankly at her, with an annoyed look on his face and is obviously pissed she won’t let this go.
“I.Said.Nothing. Just drop it, Kristen.”
She takes a step back at his harsh tone, and glowers at him. She doesn’t want to push him anymore because she’s never seen this side of him before and truthfully, is afraid to test his levels. She surrenders with an “Ok…”
He turns on his heels and walks back inside to their table. Everyone’s finished their meals and decide its time to call it a night because of their early flight to Korea.
Kristen can’t help feeling like she said something that hurt Taylor’s feelings, but she couldn’t pinpoint the reason behind his demeanor. They always got along so easily, even when Rob’s around, they would all hang out, laugh, talk, and just simply pass time until they’re all headed off to the next meeting or interview. For some reason, the way he just treated her hurt Kristen also, but she knew it wasn’t intentional. Something must be eating at him.
They all head back to their hotels in separate cars. Taylor’s SUV pulls up first in front of the hotel, and lets him, his dad Dan, his publicist, and his bodyguard out. Kristen’s SUV pulls up behind Taylor’s as it proceeds to pull away. She watches him head into the hotel, but he doesn’t wait for her like he usually does. Something is definitely wrong.
When she finally gets out of her SUV with her bodyguard and publicist, she can’t help feeling like she now has the weight of the world on her shoulders and the reason behind this is none other than Taylor. The fact that he’s mad at her for something she’s done is what hurts, but she still has no clue what it is. Her heart ached. They never got mad at each other, so this was just a bad situation.
In the elevator, on the way up to her hotel room, Kristen didn’t say a word to anyone. When she finally escaped to her hotel room, she bid everyone “good night”, went in, and shut the door behind her. She took out her cell phone to call someone, anyone who would listen and give her some advice. She wanted to call Taylor, but knew that he probably wouldn’t take her call and say he was asleep the next day, and that his cell was on vibrate.
So, she called the only other person she could think of, that would most likely be up at this time. “Hello…Rob?? Hey, how’s filming going?”
“Hey Kristen! It’s going...” he laughs. She smiles on the other end, but he can’t help sensing something is wrong. She was so quiet at public appearances, but for the life of him, couldn’t get her to stop talking when she was hanging out with him. There’s a long pause, then she talks “How’s Reese? I hear you guys are having a good time on set” with a little sarcasm in her tone, but teasingly, of course. She liked teasing Rob about his latest conquest, because at one point, and until this day, she’s still supposedly having his baby and moved in together.
He laughs again “Yeah, she’s great! Really cool person and her kids are so adorable. Her daughter practically hyperventilated when we met. She asked me for an autograph and everything.”
“Really? How cute!” Kristen smiles at the thought. Reese is such a big time movie actress; she would only hope to be as big as she is some day. For her daughter to react to Rob that way…is not surprising really. He has that effect on young girls and older. Kristen laughs inside.
“Well, we miss you on tour. We’re headed to Korea in a few hours so I should get some sleep.” Kristen called Rob to talk about Taylor, but doesn’t feel like she should put a damper on his happy attitude.
“Kristen, its 1am, and I know you didn’t call me, just to find out how production is going, so what gives?” Caught. She had to talk about it now because there was no way around Rob’s inquisitiveness. She sighs, huffs really.
“Okay, after the fan event, Taylor got really mad at me and I honestly, for the life of me, have no clue why. I tried pulling him aside to talk about it, but he wouldn’t tell me anything. He got really mad when I asked him and just now he headed to this hotel room and didn’t even wait for me to get out of my car or at least ride in the same elevator to our rooms. I don’t know what I did or said, but I’m so frustrated at his attitude...” Kristen becomes flustered.
“Well, it sounds like something happened that made him really upset at you, not to state the obvious, and we both know Taylor doesn’t get mad that easily. Have you thought about taking a few steps back this evening and think about the happenings to maybe see where you went wrong?” Rob really wanted to help.
“I have, but I feel like I’m forgetting something.” At this point, Kristen is exhausted at retracing her steps and literally wants to head to Taylor’s room and bang on his door to demand he open up and just talk to her. She knows that’s impossible because his dad is in the adjacent room and would hear her maniacal tirade to get him to open the door. So she decides against it.
“I think whatever it was, must’ve been big.” Rob doesn’t want to help.
“You’re not making me feel any better, Rob, nor are you trying to help me resolve this problem.” She doesn’t see the point of continuing this conversation. Rob has always been a great friend to her and always great to hang out with. She could understand why the media wanted to always link her to him, although she knew they could never be involved because of Rob’s flirtatious ways and wandering eyes. She cared deeply for him, though. He, to her, was how Taylor was to her. They were always close knit - one unit. But her relationship with Taylor was so much more different. Rob was always so deep in thought; sometimes he could be a little too deep. Sure he’s handsome, funny, and an intellect, but at the moment, he didn’t meet up the standard. He wasn’t helping her at all, so she started feeling like this was a waste of time.
“I’m truly trying, but this sounds like something you should talk about with Taylor...but when he’s ready. Give him time, he’ll come around, Stew. I’ve got to take off, so call me soon with details on Korea and let me know how things turn out.” He wasn’t much help, but he did make a good point.
“Ok, later. I hope you’re right. Will talk to you soon.” She hangs up.
Kristen is mentally exhausted after hanging up with Rob, so she decides to take a shower and head to bed. This was going to prove to be a restless night for Kristen, because as soon as she lays her head down around 2am, she gets a light knock at he door. This can’t be happening. It can’t already be time to get ready to leave for the airport?? She glances at the alarm clock to her right and notices its only 10 after 2. Who could it be, knocking at this time? She knows it can’t be her loyal bodyguard or her publicist to wake her out of her slumber. She also knows that Taylor’s bodyguard wouldn’t wake her, but would wake her guard if there was an emergency. Taylor’s publicist is off the list and Mr. Lautner is sure to be asleep at this time. So it could only mean…Taylor. No, no, no! She wasn’t ready to talk now. She needed sleep to function, to think. But she knew she couldn’t leave him outside her door either. She wanted to resolve this, no matter what it took. Kristen just wished she had more time to think it out.
“Yeah?” She says at the door, hoping all the time she took to get out of bed, he decided to give up and go back to his room.
She can hear him sighing loudly on the other side of the door. “Can you let me in? Please?” She hesitates, and then slowly opens the door. As soon as she opens it, she feels a draft and realizes she’s only in a tank and shorts. It’s too late to grab a robe or to change now. At the door, he’s standing there, looking pensive, but his face is not hardened. She glares at him and so does he. “What took so long?” She steps back and feels the blood rushing to her head and her heart start to race.
“Wha…what do you mean? Are you serious?? Its 10 after 2!! I was asleep, Taylor. I’m surprised you’re even here right now.”
“Well, I am. I couldn’t sleep and I wanted to talk.” Kristen eyes him for a few seconds, then steps to the side to let him in. He walks in slowly, and keeps walking towards her window, then stares out of it, as if he’s looking for something...or someone. Kristen shuts the door to rid of the draft coming from the cold hotel hallway.
“So…talk” she’s annoyed now. He wants to talk now? How about earlier when she wanted to, and not when they had to get up in about 3 hours? She sighs deeply and stood her ground by the door to let him begin.
“You know, I never thought I would be here, in this spot, doing this in my life so quickly. I thought my hard work was just that - work. I never thought I would have people screaming for me, that I would be known everywhere I went. It’s surreal.”
She knew how he felt. She started to sympathize and felt her annoyed mood start to dissipate. She didn’t, however, know what he was getting at. Sometimes she just wanted him to get to the point and this was one of them. Kristen felt her blood pressure start to rise again.
“I know how you feel, but what does this have to do with how mad you were with me earlier? Taylor, you didn’t even wait for me when we got here. I have no idea what I’ve done to deserve this treatment. Why are you so mad? What did I do? If I said something wrong, I don’t remember, so please explain. I hate this. We’re never like this. You’re always so light and make me smile. Today was just something that never happens. So out with it, why? What did I do to deserve this?” She was angry now and it was very apparent that he would have to explain quickly or she’ll be tempted to throw him out. Kristen never thought that Taylor would have this effect on her, but he certainly had her at her level. At this point, he turns around swiftly.
“Why the hell do you care? You certainly don’t care when you say things and don’t think how it would make the other person feel! I can’t believe you’re the one who’s mad when I’m the one who should be!” He was shouting now, although he shouldn’t be. They were in a hotel and he could just hear the tabloids now -
“Kristen and Taylor get Into a Screaming Match in Australia - More Info Inside”
He immediately lowers his voice, but not without losing his momentum.
“Tell me Kristen, do you ever think that I can be hurt by your words?” She’s staring at him now, but doesn’t know how to answer him.
“I…what are you talking a...” she begins to ask.
“You know well-enough what I’m talking about!!” he cuts her off.
“Taylor, if I KNEW, than we wouldn’t be here! It’s late, so tell me!!”
“I guess I’m just not him, right? I’m not him and I know you would rather be here with him, than with me! I hate being compared, Kristen!”
“Wait, when did I compare you? I only compared one thing tonight” she thinks back “and that was when I thought about how happy I am around you and how much fun we have, versus how depressing Rob can be when I’m around him. That’s the only time I could remember comparing you! I did it in thought, but I would never verbalize this because I know how much you would hate that! I had to tell you now because you’re going on and I…” She feels like an idiot at this point and didn’t want to continue.
She still doesn’t know what comparison they are talking about and she never told him about her thoughts until now. Kristen can only think of one him Taylor could be talking about - Rob. Taylor and Rob got along around her, but it was very rare they would hang out without her being present. She tried for so long after the New Moon premiere to convince Taylor she didn’t think of Rob that way, but only because he casually asked her one day over breakfast. She didn’t know what else to say to convince him that Rob was just a great friend, and nothing more.
He’s taken aback and his face softens a bit. “What?!? When did you...”
She cuts him off “On the phone with Rob tonight! I thought it and I wished so much I was talking to you and getting through this. I feel like I hurt you in some way, but when you wouldn’t respond to my questions earlier, I felt lost! I still am - so what comparison are you referring to?” She’s growling at him at this point. The tension is sky-high now and both her fist clench until she can feel her nails digging into her palms.
“You told me sorry, you told me you were not on Jacob’s team. How could you pick someone whose whole premise is hurt? How could you favor someone who left YOUR character out unprotected, to hurt so much? You like to be hurt, Kristen? Hurt is better than safety? I don’t understand your hypocrisy sometimes!”
“My WHAT!!??!? Wait...THIS is why you’re mad at me? This is why you avoided me downstairs, and wouldn’t talk to me the rest of the night? THIS, TAYLOR?!?” Now she was the one who was shouting. She suddenly felt the same as he did moments ago, and lowered her tone.
Sometimes he takes his role too literally, so she couldn’t help thinking and opens her mouth to speak again. “I somehow don’t think this is what you’re mad about...there’s something else, so out with it!”
“You know NOTHING about what I think.” That hit Kristen like a sharp razor’s edge. How could he say that to her? She valued his friendship and everything that came out of his mouth because she knew those things were real. He was always honest with her. Right now, she felt he was being a little too honest.
“Try me...” was all she was able to articulate. She was floored by this new Taylor, and now, she was becoming exhausted going through this with him. She wanted her happy, no pressure, and fun loving Taylor back. Her Taylor.
Then he spoke. “Kristen, come on are you that naïve? What do you see when you look at me? Not now when I’m so mad at you I could run miles, but what do you see when we’re together? Do you even look at me?” he asks.
“What? I look at you. I look at you all the time…what kind of question is that?” She’s puzzled.
“NO!! Do you LOOK at me? What do you see in my eyes, Kristen? What do you see my eyes tell you?” He was being facetious, but she knew what he was trying to say.
“I do LOOK at you! I care for you so much and it hurts to know how much I’m hurting you right now. I see my friend, my loyal, happy, fun loving friend. My best friend. The only person I could be myself around and he not judge me. I see me, a part of me that’s so caring and so sweet. You bring out the best in me, Taylor. My smiles are because of you. My ease is because of you. You make me feel completely and utterly free! What else do you want me to see??”
She was shocked by her response. She had and inkling she felt this way, but didn’t know she had it in her to actually verbalize it, and hear herself say it. She believed it. Kristen felt like something just hit her and exploded. Words flooded out of her mouth inexplicably. She didn’t know where these feeling were coming from, and by the look on his face, neither did he.
“Tell me something, Taylor? Why is this such a surprise to you? What do YOU see? Because if you saw this, there’d be no reason to discuss this right now.” She left that door open for him.
Taylor started walking towards Kristen “You want to know what I see? I also see my best friend. A person who went to hell and back for me when I needed someone in my corner. Someone who knew my potential when I doubted myself. I see a beautiful, warm, crazy, and brutally honest girl who I would do anything in this world for to keep her happy. My best friend, my warmth. I see someone who is so passionate about her craft that at times, lets it consume her. Someone who is willing to do what she loves to tell a story, not for fame, but for a sense of accomplishment. I see someone who is always concerned with the well being of others, and is so selfless. My whole being feels for you, my hearts swells when you’re near me, my body aches when I’m not around you. I miss you when I don’t hear from you, even when you’re in the next room and I can’t look at you. You have no idea how much I feel for you. I’ve never had so much love for someone so unconditionally before, and I’m not be able to do anything about it. This pains me! I love you so much and you don’t even see what comments like earlier do to me.”
Kristen is literally dumb-founded at this point. He stops talking and she stares at him, mouth slightly agape. She wants to move, wants to say something, but she can’t move a muscle, she can’t talk. All she can do is stare. They were always flirty around each other, but it was all in good fun. She once thought that he did have some feelings for her, but that was put to rest when he started dating T-squared.
She then noticed he was just about an arms length from her, waiting for her to say something…anything. Then she finally spoke “Taylor, I… I had no idea you felt this way. Why didn’t you tell me? Why now? Why hold this in for so long? We tell each other everything…”
“Really? I didn’t want you to be scared to be around me. I didn’t want to lose this, what we have. I didn’t want to lose “us”. I didn’t want to lose you!” His voice was soft now, almost a whisper. His head lowered to look at the floor.
Kristen stood there, still staring at him and not sure of what to do next, so she said what came to mind after her thought process unscrambled. “You would never lose me… you can’t lose me. I love you too, too much to even think about a world without you.”
His head shoots up and looks at her with dark piercing eyes “You…love me? Like a friend.”
Kristen had to be clear and made sure he understood “Like my best friend, my complete other me. Like who makes me whole. My heart, my escape, my savior, everything that is real, everything that is important, everything that’s perfect. You…I love YOU. I see YOU, whole, here, with me. Nothing, no one else matters…” her voice barely becomes a whisper at the end.
With tears in her eyes, she’s afraid to blink in fear of them spilling over. She never thought she could be capable of loving anyone else, especially after Michael, but this was somehow different. This was a different love. When she looked into his eyes, she could see something pure, something so innocent. He stared at her with a small smile playing at the edges of his lips. He couldn’t say anything else but “Really?” slowly moving closer, within inches from her now. He says it again “Really?” She smiles, at which time the tears spill to her tank.
He hesitates to touch her cheek, but does so and wipes a tear away with his thumb ever so lightly. Her heart leaps at his warm, intimate touch. Responding to his questions, she only says “Yes.” He touches her chin now, lifts her head up to look him in his eyes, which are now smoldering, filled with so much love. He closes the gap completely between them now and lays a light kiss against her top lip, which makes her shiver at the touch. With her eyes shut, she waits, but not long before he kisses her completely, slowly. This kiss isn’t like the one from filming (although she did like that scene and certainly filming it - a lot) but felt so different. There was love behind it, there was a few short years of being unsure and now realization finally coming to the forefront. He loved her, she loved him and now she was able to face it. All because of him. How could she not love him? He was the best thing to come into her life in a very long time. Plus he looked so damn good, she couldn’t help wondering what the hell took her so long.
At some point, Taylor’s hands found her waist and pulled her in for a deeper kiss which was welcomed. After a few seconds and lack of oxygen, they came up for air, taking in sharp breaths, but Taylor’s hands never parted from her waist, and they’re foreheads were now touching. With open eyes, they looked at each other and smiled, finally knowing that from that day, they will remain inseparable. They wanted this, they needed each other.
Taylor was the first to break the happy silence by turning his head slightly to glance at the alarm clock by Kristen’s bed. Kristen didn’t move. She wanted to feel this way forever.
“I should get going, we have to be up in about 2 hours...” Kristen pulled away from him and looked into his eyes. He looked sad and she could tell he didn’t want to leave. What happened next stunned both Kristen and Taylor, but the words fell out of her mouth before she even had a chance to think straight. He was right, sometimes she doesn’t know the implications of her words. “Please…stay with me...” With that, he turned his head to look at her with a surprised, but sincere look in his face.
“Are you sure?” He expected her to have thought straight by the time she responds.
“Yes, I’ve never been so sure”. He couldn’t argue with that. She, head still down, took his hand and led him to her bed. He followed her. She sat down and brought him with her. Kristen lifted her head to look at him. Love. She was sure. She lifted a hand and placed it over his heart and nods a “yes” than kisses him again, this time with much more intensity. What Kristen didn’t realize is she accidentally sat down on her iPod and powers it on. Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” starts to melodically saturate the room and breaks their kissing. Fitting.
“Come here, rude boy, boy, can you get it up? ……”
She immediately feels mortified and hurriedly fumbles with the device to shut it off. Now red-faced, she keeps her head down and can’t look at him. When he touches her chin and lifts her head to meet his gaze, she finds him smirking. She’s no longer embarrassed, but....curious. What happens in the next two hours is nothing short of amazing.
---------
By time they board the plane to Korea, Kristen is a little upset at the treatment of the paparazzi but it fades when she sees Taylor in the seat next to hers, she settles in and lays a head on his chest and starts to fall asleep. Everyone is used to their affection by now, but today is different.
{TL POV}
After a while, Mr. Lautner sits in the seat across from Taylor, and looks at Kristen in the window seat next to his son with her eyes closed and her head on his chest. Taylor starts to slip into slumber when his Dad whispers to him.
“Son, you seem really tired, I know all this traveling has been getting to you, but it’ll be over soon. I am glad to see you and Kristen back on good terms. I hope now things will go smoothly for the remainder of this tour. Maybe you can finally stop moping around.” He laughs quietly to himself. “Anyway, get some rest, I know this whole thing probably kept you up all night...”
“Yeah, dad, all night.” He closes his eyes and a little rumble of laughter goes through him, but not loud enough for anyone to hear. He then realizes Kristen isn’t asleep when he feels her vibrating next to him. She heard the conversation, but he’s not embarrassed. He’s happy she did.
He opens his eyes to peek at her. With eyes still closed, Kristen’s lips curve into a small smile and whispers in his shirt.
“You have no idea.”
The End.
*Astral Restaurant is really a restaurant, located in Star City, Sydney Australia. I wanted to send them to an upscale restaurant, and this seemed to fit the bill. I also used Lady Antebellum's song Need You Now as my muse.
