I absolutely love this weather. It's so gorgeous! It's like, 80-something, and just really really nice to go outside in.

I adore hot weather. You just go outside, and the grass just smells green. Colors aren't supposed to have smells, but they just smell nice ( Read more... )

I really LIKED X3. But then again, I'm an incredible fan, and watched Envolution ever since the days of Kids WB. But I kind of understand where you are coming from with the entire Phoenix thing. What really bugged me was the lack of Angel and his HAWTNESS the lack of resolution at the end. They didn't have a lot of development, I guess, but how they wrapped everything up at the end sucked and I was like, OH YOU GUYS SUCK, WHAT HAPPENED TO (so and so)?!?

Anyway, I still liked ANGEL -SWOONS- it. And even though they said this was THE last movie of the X-men trilogy, I can almost smell another one. Honestly. Wanxin swears she saw the chess piece move at the end. AND did you see the little clip at the way end after all the credits?

Angel? Oh, that was pretty brilliant when he just opened his wings like that. -swoons-

I'm more of a Bobby girl. He was so brilliant... in all of the three scenes that he was in. But he's really cute, that's all.

But the thing with Angel was that he was introduced for 2 minutes, then he didn't appear until way later and then just sort of ducked out. I get so irritated by lack of character development.

Yup, I saw the clip. They're going to continue. They have to. There's now way they can just leave it there!

I knowwww. Wings make my knees turn to jello, 'cause they are pretty ♥

...Oh. Angel's cooler. Really. Actually, the main reason why I don't like Bobby very much is that he was the main character of this show I used to watch and I didn't happen to like his character -shrugs- But what bothered me was his lack of sensitivity attention to Rogue -cries-

OMFG, not only that, but HELLO? NO RESOLUTION AT THE END. They don't give like, ANY resolution of the entire movie. It's incredibly irritating. For instance, what about Mystique? And ANGEL? He just flies in to save his father and that's it? And the bald kid? What happened to him afterward? And it's so true there is a lack of character development with so many new characters.

Yes, there IS going to be an X4. I found an article confirming it a little while after posting my comment earlier.

angel just flies around in the end, he's in the last scene. mystique might be depowered, but maybe not completely. just like magneto.

xavier probably had his mind transferred to a clone, or the brain-dead person that they were talking about in the lecture. it happened in the comics, so it's probably going to happen here.

rogue is supposed to be with gambit anyways, so I think bobby doesn't count. gambit totally has a cooler power too (control over kinetic energy)

the bald kid... I don't know what happens to him. they took a lot of creative liberty with him in the movie. he's supposed to be a green skinned deformed morlock.

-patiently- But Bobby's hot.
Haha, just kidding.
Only slightly.

Wait, who's the bald kid? Like, does he have a name, or is he just 'bald kid'?

his name is leech.

And wow, yeap, goodness for spamming my email also. I was like, um, all these email notifications from Jeff? XD
And 'cause I'm so nice, I'm going to cram everything I have to say in one comment to save YOUR email, Jeff. I know Sabrina's isn't going to die because of gmail's special features :D

Yes, Donald and I had the weirdest conversation last night about X-men, Jean Grey's actress, wrinkles and arm fat. Let's just say Donald will never think of her in the same way ever again ;)

I kind of don't like her (yet), because the way they portrayed her in the movie made her look like a living dead, but I heard that she is REALLY cool in the comic.

Which sucks having thousands of X-Men comics. Which one would you recommend (because my brain doesn't have the capacity to read all of them)? and download scans for me?ANDQUICKLYBURNTHATCOPYFORCHISOHECANBURNACOPYFORME~!! Please ( ... )

the pokey guy is credited as kid omega, except kid omega is uberpsychic. he's mad crazy power psychic. not a pincushion. the quill guy kinda sucked. the real quill can shoot his spines. this one is just pokey.

gambit was supposed to be in x3, but the actor declined, because his part wasn't big enough. which sucks.

I think magneto is one of the coolest characters actually. his real powers are even cooler than just controlling metal. he has power over the entire electromagnetic spectrum as well as telepathy. he's probably the coolest mutant ever. next to scarlet witch, who has power over probability.

I don't know which to reccommend. the latest series depowered pretty much all of the minor characters (+ magneto). it's a huge twist.

I really like Magneto. (In the sense that I've only seen the movies). He's like my favorite character, along with Xavier. It's like, they have to work with each other and then stab each other in the back, and then they have to find that fine balance between that.

they're definitely my favorite characters. they've also had some of the most plot and character development.

plus, they're allegorical figures for black oppression and the civil rights movement. Magneto and his brotherhood is like malcom x and the black panthers, while professor xavier is like MLK.

so x-men actually is about minority oppression and how the man doesn't like black people.

Not joking.

I wish I could make stuff like that up.

but I'm not that good.

I don't think I ever liked Jean Grey's character. Not just her looks, just her personality. With the first two movies, we're confused, thinking that she's this shy, reserved person, and then with the last movie, her 'alternate personality' suddenly appears and is like, all powerful and such.

chess piece moving on Wikipedia

... I'm going to treat that with the silence it deserves. :D Dear, you're becoming obsessed.

What does Gambit do?

he has power over kinetic energy.

he throws cards.

and makes stuff explode.

his power could be a lot cooler if his character spent more time thinking about it.

but he doesn't.

Yup, totally. The Bobby/Kitty bothered me to no end, and I felt so incredibly bad for Rogue.

It was like they dumped 90 gazillion characters on us and then they all died, and then ... yeah. They died.

The other movies, I felt, had at least a little bit of brain power involved. This, it was like, Kabaam all the way through the movie.

I was disturbed a little by Angel, though, in the beginning, what with cutting off his wings.

I KNOW. In Evolution, Kitty was mainly paired with Kurt, who didn't even show up in this movie. GAHHHHH! -flails-

Definitely. I think maybe they should've made the movie a little longer if they had so much to show, even if our butts have to hurt from sitting even longer in those seats so they can make it better.

It's so sad. There was so much... dying-ness in the movie.

BUT NEVERTHELESS, I STILL WANT TO KEEP WATCHING THE X-MEN MOVIES. Can't say the same about the Spiderman movies though ._.

Oh well, yeah. What I told Wanxin was that I was never going to forget that image for the rest of my life. But it was so heartbreaking, I thought :/

I saw only the first Spiderman, so I don't know what's up. Although it's so HG. Well, sort of. How/why they broke up and such.

I'm skipping banquet right now. :D I was going to go, and then I decided that I just wanted to stay at home and actually work on homework.
