Rain
It's raining.
Taeyeon likes the sound of the rain gently tapping against her window as if asking her to come outside and play. With her hands and forehead pressing against the window and her eyes closed she hears it splatter against the ground and other objects and then hears it flow into the sewer.
In this hectic day, she finds a moment of peace. Well, that was until she hears a voice screaming for her.
“TAETAE COME HELP ME! KWON YUWREE, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TOUCHING!?”
Taeyeon opens her eyes, sighs and wipes away her breath that fogged up the window. Her eyes widen a little bit as she sees a glimpse of blond hair just disappearing around the corner. She stands up and sprints towards the living room to save the mushroom as quick as she can so she can go outside afterwards.
“Yuri-ah, could you please stop molesting Fany?” she asks calmly.
“...”
Yuri was looking at her with a shocked face wondering how Taeyeon was being so calm and not screaming like a crazy umma, like she always does.
“She's asking you nicely which makes it even scarier, Unnie you better stop.” Seohyun murmured.

As she slips into her trench coat, Yoona hands her an umbrella. Normally Taeyeon would've thanked her but with that shit-eating-grin she just pulls a face of disgust when she realizes why Yoona is giving her a grin.
“Don't do it in the rain, you might catch a cold.”
“Do wh-?”and with that she is shoved out of the apartment. She grumbles as she walks down the stairs and opens her umbrella. She looks around her, searching for a familiar colour and smiles a little when she spots the blond's back. When she stands behind the blond, she covers them both with her umbrella. Taeyeon's smile widens as she sees the blond tense up and relax the minute Taeyeon starts talking.
“Why are you outside in the rain without an umbrella Sica?”
“No reason.”
“You'll get sick.”
“Maybe I want to.”
“Why is that?”
“So you can take care of me.”
Taeyeon blushes a bright red and seeing as Jessica is gripping her coat tightly she guesses she is blushing as well.
After a moment of silence Taeyeon steps next to Jessica.
“You know, I really like the rain.”
She sees Jessica glance at her with a neutral expression, not curious but not bored either, she takes it as a sign to continue.
“First of all it's refreshing, the air is so clean after it rains, I just could breathe in as deep as I can forever. Second... It wipes away tears and fears.”
Taeyeon's expression turns into a somber one and Jessica bites her lips in worry but is surprised when Taeyeon turns to her with a big grin.
“But most of all I like the sound of it”
She closes her eyes.
“It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard.”
Jessica closes her eyes as well and they both silently listen to the rain as every drop makes its own tune as it splatters against the ground. Jessica opens her eyes when she feels a warm hand press against her cheek, blushing when she sees Taeyeon staring deeply into her eyes with a serious expression.
“That's the reason why I lock myself in the room every time it rains, so you don't have to go outside and watch me because you're worried.”
Jessica's blush deepens.
“I wasn't-”
Warm lips against her cold ones cause her to shut up. Taeyeon drops the umbrella and pulls Jessica into a hug not caring if they're getting wet. She can feel Jessica shiver against her.
“I'm sorry; you must've been cold watching me, why didn't you take an umbrella?”
Jessica turned her head away so Taeyeon couldn't see into her eyes.
“I-i wasn't lying about what I said earlier besides...” Her face gets so red that Taeyeon thinks she might faint. “Watching you keeps me warm.”
