Hello, everyone!

[Small kid waves cheerfully at the camera and continues typing.]

Today, I had an idea. I want to learn more about the worlds everyone comes from. I know some are Earth, but some are not. If I was at home, I could find books about everyone. Instead I thought of some questions. Then, I will write something from what you tell me!

1. Marco
2. The Grand Line. Section: the New World. Stationed on the Moby Dick ship. Not sure of the planet name and we travel between islands and countries.
3. Phoenix. [Just doesn't even try to hide it this time, he's bored.]
4. The year was 1522, 22 years after Gold Roger's death and just reaching the end of the Whitebeard Era, also known as the Great Age of Pirates. That we're going into a new era is widely acknowledged, but who and what will shape it, has yet to be seen. My world is mostly ocean, with really only islands for land. Even the Red Line -- a strip of land circling the whole world -- is actually believed to be a cluster of islands that were pushed together.

[Robin listens excitedly to all this stuff. It's definitely better than reading the same books over and over.]

It could be Earth. That also had a New World, and also a book named Moby Dick. But, it isn't mostly oceans. 1522 is also hundreds of years before the time I come from.

Do Pirates rule everything? Also, can I ask more about what a Phoenix is?

Not really rule or govern. There's the World Government that took control during the Lost Century, and they rule everything. The countries retain some autonomy -- err, individuality -- but for the most part the World Government has final say in everything. They hate pirates, and their soldiers -- the marines -- are tasked with eliminating pirates. Gold Roger: the first pirate King that died 22 years ago, he was a real thorn in the World Government's side so they set out to kill him and everything related to him ( ... )

[He's just drinking all this detail up.]

Oh! So you're a kind of Prince, if your father is an Emperor? Does that mean you become a Yonkou someday? Or, do you have to challenge one of them to do that?

How are Phoenixes different from Humans? I know you can fly, but is there more?

Unofficially I guess you could say I'm a Prince. Not really though, since pirates are outlaws. [But man if he doesn't just love the sound of "Prince" attached to his nickname.] There are millions of pirate crews out there, all looking to be the strongest -- or the new Pirate King. Shanks -- the red-haired Yonkou I mentioned; he put his support on Luffy here in Discedo to become the next Pirate King. Pops and I don't really care for things like that. We're pirates to protect our crew and family. And being the Pirate King is more like an unofficial title too. It doesn't make you get to rule over anyone, it means you're the best. Being a yonkou means protecting or controlling islands under your name. And in Pops' case it meant a lot of the world wanted to assassinate him in order to be seen as the person capable of killing the world's strongest ( ... )

A Prince can be an outlaw! At least, I think so. It sounds like there are a lot of pirates in your world! In mine, they don't exist anymore. I only know about them from history or stories.

Oh!! You mean you're like a real Phoenix!.]

[Robin's eyes widen and his mouth drops open as Marco transforms. He's speechless and amazed. Eventually he manages--]

Are you also immortal?

[Switches back to human to talk.]

Well we have more official princes who actually rule over countries or islands, eh. Like King Neptune's sons.

As for immortal... [Shrugs.] A little bit, but I could still be killed if I'm not careful. It would just take a lot of doing.

But, it sounds like the Ocean is more important where you come from! Who is King Neptune though?

That's kind of like Ruika. She's a Goddess, but I think she still has to be careful..

Very important.
King Neptune runs Fishman Island. He's the King of merfolk and fishmen there. Even though Fishman Island was under my Pops' protection, we only owned it in a more... underground sense. The island was still part of the World Government, they just did jack to protect it. So my old man promised to keep it safe from other pirates who wanted to kidnap the residents into slavery. Doesn't mean the King wasn't still the real and legal king.

A goddess?

There are mermaids in your world? How are fishmen different?

Oh, so you were kind of like Knights. Or secret Knights... so you protected the Island. It sounds like your kind of pirates can be more noble than the ones I read about.

Yes! Ruika is Belldandy. She is the Goddess of the World Tree. She grew up a human, though.

Yes, they're quite beautiful. Fishman are sort of reverse merfolk. They have human legs, but more aquatic faces and arms or chests. One of my brothers is fishman.

Can be, but that doesn't mean most pirates are noble like that. Pops was always different from other pirates. [Plus it is really way more mafia-like than Marco is willing to explain.]

The same Bellandy Ace dated?

I wish I could see your world! It sounds INCREDIBLE! Maybe some day, if we learn how to leave this one, I would like to visit.

I think it might have been her! ...Were they dating, though? I don't think he told me that part. Denmark also said she was here.

Hah, so long as you're careful. Even this place is pretty tame compared to my world. Well, if you're in the New World at least.

I'm not clear on the details, it was before I arrived here, I just know they were really close.

I think a lot of interesting things are dangerous. Like the monsters here.

Oh... well, if she was happy, that's ok! I hopes she comes here again.

I completely agree, but I'm obviously biased.

Yeah, same. Although if she didn't remember things that might be a bit hard on Freckles.

I think it means you have a sense of adventure.

If she remembers Discedo, that would be the best. Definitely. Then she could be happy to see all of us.
